Cows on this mainly bush pasture have lots of good grass yet

But still they prefer to eat "weeds" - my kind of cow!!:D
First they ate out a stinging nettle/hemp nettle patch

Then a Canada thistle patch

Then started on the willow trees

Chewed willow stumps and look at the grass in the background - are these cows crazy?

Hazard of checking cows in the dense bush - got a bit too close to this black frame score 10 cow... hey, wait a minute that's not a cow.... its a cow moose

Other wildlife in the area - part of a group of 8 muley bucks currently hiding out on my place

Just to show I do have the occasional black animal that isn't a moose. If every bred cow you bought for $485 had a calf like this at under 4 months old this business would be profitable :D

A severe storm came through our community tonight hopefully it hasn't done too much damage.
Gathering storm

Looking east the leading edge is ahead of us now leaving it mighty dark

Wall of water approaching from the west

Hail to the chief!

The calm after the storm - I hope all the other crops survived the storm as well as these oats did.
