Your calves looked like they were going gangbusters in your earlier photo's. Hope you have nipped the pneumonia in the bud and don't lose any more.

No matter how big and contiguous the ranch is, those critters can always get out of bounds. :???: Is pneumonia common among older calves where you are. Is it the sand and wind? We have had a few cases in the fall on 500 pounders but it has to be dry and dusty.

Just talked to a bull customer a hour or so ago that lost three calves to pneumonia a couple of days ago. We had some unusually cool wet days with night time temperatures in the forties- followed by days back in the nineties and hundreds. Figures the extremes in weather got them sick and they don't last long in the heat.

Draxxin really works good for me. Too bad it is so dang expensive. In the long run it's probably cheaper than just about everything else though when you figure it lasts for 2 weeks and does such a good job on pneumonia.
