AAAAAWWWWW! They really do make you melt!

On the other hand, I called k_ranch over and showed him. "That dumb thing's gonna get it's head kicked off" was what came out of him
Guess that's a man for ya. He did think it was kind of cute, but that was not his initial reaction...

I guess those are recent photos, because the deer are birthing late this year drought I guess,I was checking on a water gap this morning........No wait,I was minding my own buisness this morning haveing a cup of coffe on my front porch, when I seen some heifers out,I got the mule outa the shed and start runnin em back in and then checkin fence, yup just as I suspected dead battery on a fence charger across a water gap,a very dry water gap, anyway I saw a lil deer bout that size along the fence in a hay field, made a mental note to cut slow when I get in there as you sure can run over them when they are that size................good luck

PS Yes nice horses pictures, thanks for sharing em.

OUr old brood mare would be fine with the fawn unless someone showed up wth grain.. Than she would run around and stomp that poor fawn into the ground... Saw her do it to a lamb once... She loves to hang out with the wife's sheep but she has to take a couple months off a year now...

Edited to add... That is a darn cute picture... Nothing much cuter in the world than a baby whitetail... Or calf... I think if they stayed that cute I couldn't eat them...Well... They are darn tasty, I'm sure I could get over it.

This was with the pictures on the email....as stated they said she came out after the horses moved on, here is what was said on the email with the pictures..when I copied the pics the note didnt come with it.

P.S. After the horses moved on, the doe came for her wondering fawn....so all is well in case you were wondering. Just had to share this with all you deer hunters and horse lovers.

So I gathered that the doe was just in hiding, probably watching from the brush.
