Great photo's, are the brahman cattle the Gyr strain? And the Watusi, do they actually use those horns? Wondering how likely they were to prod each other with them.

Your grazing looks off to a great start, guess all the extra snow we had this winter was good for something. Lots of clover, they'll be fat, full and happy for awhile.

RA are you a professional photographer ? Everyone of those photos should be mounted and displayed, they are beautiful. Thanks so much for taking the time to post them, feel free to keep them coming. :D

Keep it up! :D Beautiful pictures of cool animals. If I break out my bull rope from retirement it will be your fault and you may have a green eyed brunette coming east to twist your ears!

Thank you very much to every one!!!!!

MO_cows---- I have only bought 4 Watusi cows, so I don't know how they are as a breed, but mine never fought. My Brahmans are awesome moms, but don't hold a candle to the Watusi's I have had. WOW! There natural instincts they still have in them from Africa is amazing! Their horns are mainly for cooling....like radiators(sp?). Hot blood goes up, cool blood comes down.... and for predators(African lions). They were nice to be around with no babies, but I had to be horseback the whole 8 months they had a calf at side to be any where near them. Yes, my brahmans with spots have a small percentage of Gyr in them.

leanin' H---- I'd sooner mess with the meanest, nastiest, wild bull than deal with a mad women :) No offense ladies :) Please leave the bull rope stowed away if I'm going to get the blame :) :) :) :)

I have hundreds of pictures.... here is just a few more I had handy. I take 1,ooo bad ones for every ok one.

:) My watusi's horns were tiny compared to what a lot of people are breeding out there....really tiny

There's Rockies in Missouri :) I really wished I lived out west or up north. So I took this picture of some of my cows eating at the buffet line a couple months ago and added a snow storm and mountains. :)
