Back in the day......... I would'a loved getting on as many as I could! But since I am old and fat now, It would be in my best interest to watch from the stands. The mind is still willing but the body is weak! :D Great bunch of buckers and neat pictures! Thanks! :D

40+ years ago I spent a summer working for a contractor--which gave me a chance to get on a lot of stock..."Almost" every one of the bulls you could go out and yell come bulls- and then stand and scratch on the head or back when you was packing out sacks of feed--but they seemed to forget who you were when you drew one- and came out of the chute on them- and liked to horn in on your business if you weren't careful...

I have kind of a love/hate affection for those old bramer cross bucking bulls-- so love your pictures...

I watched a half hour or so of a bucking bull/cow sale on Superior at noontime-- and some of those old cows I wouldn't want to have been feeding.... They were chasing the cowboys on horseback around the areana...

Thanks!

I didn't see the sale today, but I think it was Roy Carters????? Raised a lot of good bulls, but yeah, has some waspy stock. :)

It is funny how those ol bucking bulls know their job. I could brush mine with curry combs, then, BAM... they would smoke everyone in the arena though.

:) I love looking at every one's photo's on here and reading stories and tips!!!!! Just love it!!!! Keep it up everybody!!!!! I've already learned a lot!!!! The past is leaving my system now. :) I like everyone's ranchin photos on here way better than mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are sure a lot of horns in that trailer. Everybody is arses and elbows in there!!

Watched a few of those cows sell on Superior also. Crazy, crazy stuff. Open beef cows were worth $1,000 in Nebraska today and those ol' Braymer cows in that sale were bringing just over $500. Guess the weight was quite a little different too!

RA, I hate to mention it because I would like to win the photo contest May 23-29, but I don't know any way I can compete with your photos so I hope you don't enter! The subject that week is "Dangerous Jobs." Second thought maybe they wouldn't qualify. Maybe a bull rider doesn't think of it as a job but as recreation. It looks more like Suicide to me!

poor leanin' H :)

High Plains-- Yeah, a few years ago a landslide of people got into raising bucking bulls...prices went sky high, it was crazy. Now all those people are selling...market is flooded...prices are rock bottom.

Bob M--- First, those pictures you just posted are great!!! Way better than mine! A bunch of horned herefords like that just screams ranchin to me....and yeah bullriders are crazy. I looked through the picture contest list. I guess I feel wierd entering a picture I have taken in a contest....it's just dumb luck you can see something in them sometimes. I just goof off all day riding around, pointing and clicking.

porcupine quills :) My brother had to pull a bunch out of one of his sled dogs out in Wyoming one time. He said that was real fun. :)

Thank you!

I always thought, if I'm going to haul bulls to rodeos.... I'm going to give the crowd their moneys worth.... give them something to see that they can't see going up and down the rode everyday....around this part of the country anyway. My 69 Meathead bull was the only real Teddy Bear looking bull I ever had. He was a huge hit at truck stops and gas stations though. He wasn't a one owner bull. He loved to be scratched by everybody and if he was in a safe spot on the trailer, I would let people pet him through the bars. Kids would be yelling..We Love Meathead :) ...so that trailer is real good for PR in rodeo.

On the interstate and especially through big cities, I would create log jams. Cameras and cell phones sticking out of everybodies cars. :) Nobody would pass. I missed exits because of it.... I would slow down, they would slow down.... I would speed up, they would speed up. :)
