If someone would PM me if a serious discussion starts on here, so I do not miss it I would be grateful.

I would really like to discuss the current political mess we are in, but ever since the liberals lost Bush to complain about and Obama gives them nothing to defend this message board is turning into a bunch of fluff.

R2, Alice and others can spend countless hours talking about pie, but not have one serious response as to serious things like Obama cutting the Social Security payments to the elderly. Or holding down interest rates that hurt those in retirement.....etc....

They spend countless hours wasting our time talking about who new people are or who is hopolong being today or hypocrite.

So much fluff, we use to talk about political issues on here.

Then you have OT using vulgar post as a Moderator but then deleting if someone uses the same vulgarity.

I do not want to leave, I just want to talk politics. So please if anyone knows of a thread that has political discussion I would appreciate if you PM me about the thread. In mean time I will look for a message board that has some political talk to it, instead of a bunch of liberal fluffing!

try this board A+

Good discussion about the issues. Mostly Conservative members, but also a group of Libs that try to debate.

Not so much name-calling or diversion off topic.

Not as user friendly, as a program, but once you get the hang of it, it's good.

http://www.freerepublic.com

also tons of members, not as personal, just the facts and issues.

Click on the titles of the articles, and scroll down you will get into the discussions.

Good luck but the liberal fluff is a disease.

My local tire supplier told me tonight that Obama, in all of his infinite wisdom, signed into law a 35% tariff on Chinese tires. This means that a one hundred dollar tire will now cost us $135. He is really a special person.

Go Globalization!

You guys are talking out of both sides of your mouths you realize?

Just try to buy tires that aren't made in China.

But seriously Soapweed, you know that people on PB go on and on and on about globalization and China and how we need to buy America. How was I supposed to know that we should buy things on a secret list that you hold from China and boycott the rest of Chinese goods?

I dislike American overpaid Democrat unions just as bad as I dislike buying things from China. If the Democrats hadn't taxed USA businesses out of business, these companies would not have needed to relocate overseas in order to stay in business. Personally I have no qualms with buying stuff from Walmart. Anything supposedly "made in the USA" for the most part isn't anymore, anyway. "American" vehicles are full of foreign made parts. I have a hunch that if a person tried to buy only stuff from the USA, they wouldn't even be able to find clothes to wear.

Funny thing is that hypo thought this was FINE when I posted the story originally. He had NO objection then. Bet he changes his tune tonight.

That lowlife Obama -- how dare he turn back the march of globalization that the GOP supported so ardently.

Find something bad to say about this article, why don't you? I know you can.

More lies.

"a benefit for U.S. big labor and domestic tire makers as their products will be more competitive. "

Sounds like a great marketing scheme so we will LIKE paying
more for tires...

We need to be careful here...veryyyyy careful.

Obama is in over his head.

Here was your reaction to the article I posted until the next day when you woke up I guess and decided you better have an opinion

I have to assume that you could care less about the tariff since you made a lame joke only.

Gotcha. You are ardently in favor of U.S. jobs going overseas, especially to China. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I thought you were opposed to globalization and the run of of the trade deficit.

Yeah, I much prefer underpaid illegals to the American worker who has lived here for generations. :???: The gall of those union members trying to have a better life for themselves and their families.
I still say no tax help to any business except those that choose to stay here in America. You want to move overseas? Fine, but you get no tax breaks.

Since we have discussed and debated this about a zillion times, I would suggest you search the archives, but all this was debated before you showed up (I think) so I really don't know if its still there.
