I will be in Spearfish on wednesday to do the Heritage of the American West at 7 in the evening. Supposed to be up there at 1 to be on the radio with Jim Thompson.

The I'm going to Chadron on Friday and Saturday for the gig at the college. Waddie Mitchel is the headliner on Saturday evening. Maybe I'll see some of you there. :)

Had a great time in Chadron. Got to visit with several who post and read these boards.

Waddie did a great job and we all just had a wonderful time.

I can hardly wait for next weekend when me an ol' Saddle Tramp head over to north eastern Iowa. Them poor people!

And to think we was there last year and they invited us back!

Now that's tuff! I don't care who you are.

tuff?...or just dumb? :p :?

Did I say that?

Kidding, of course.

Glad you had a good time. Waddie Mitchell is one of my
very favorites (behind you, of course). I assume that is
the 'Waddie' that you meant.

I love his, 'The last longhorns gone and the campfires gone out.'

I'm sure that isn't his poem, but one written long ago by Badger Clark or someone of his time frame.

Waddie does a good job, but he doesn't tell you who wrote the poems he is doing, very often. If you buy a CD of his, I'm sure it's written in the bylines, just like who wrote the songs on mnusci CD's.
