there used to be lots of polls posted on here- I wonder what happened?

At 19%, the number who Strongly Approve matches the lowest total yet recorded for this president. It has fallen that low only once before, on April 11 of this year. While 45% of Democrats Strongly Approve, just 4% of Republicans and 8% of unaffiliated voters share that enthusiasm.
Overall, 43% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. Fifty-four percent disapprove.

19% is not a very big base is it? does that mean whoever gets the GOP nod is our next president? I mean this man has been campaiging non stop for what, 4-5 years now.

What the Pakistanis think of him:
Democrats dump Obama, promote Clinton

Islamabad—Following sharp decline in his popularity at home, the Democrats have decided to dump President Barak Obama and to elevate Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the next US elections.

According to Gallup public opinion polls, Obama's approval ratings have sunk to a new low, dropping to 39 per cent. Disapproval hiked to 54 per cent. There are many factors behind this fall from the grace. A large number of Democrats disapproved his debt deal with the rival Republicans. Additionally, the Republicans have put strong contenders for the presidency who are actively criticizing Obama's performance.

The very real drag on his approval is the economy. He managed it badly in a recession period. Therefore, it remains sluggish in the absence of creativity and due to a weak president who has given everyone the impression that he is confused and short of ideas.

Obama is just 15 months from a defeat or a second term. He is left with a very little time to reverse his numbers especially the challenges are rapidly increasing. The latest of the mess in which America has landed is that the Obama administration is unable to pay the salaries of the US troops stationed in Afghanistan.

The US-led NATO operations in Libya is facing tough resistance, prompting the NATO to demand from the Libya rebels $1000 billions to continue attacks against the Libyan infrastructure. The American troops are demoralized in Iraq, Afghanistan and over 1000 military bases around the world.

If his popularity continues to fall by early next year, the Democrats might completely dump him and promote Hillary Clinton.

Disappointed American women who campaigned hard for the nomination of Hillary Clinton feel utterly dejected. They believed that had Hillary Clinton been elected US President, she would have done a better job than Obama. Gallup Poll puts Clinton's favorability with the American people at 66 percent. Moreover, with the growing possibility that a woman- Michele Bachman- could be on the Republican ticket for president or vice president slot, Clinton could provide a formidable counter that an all-male ticket would not.

The answer is a very likely yes.

I have seen several people around me that were strong Clinton fans rethink their position because of Obama.

He is not a bad democrat, infact he is very good at being a democrat. And because he is so good, the socialistic ideas have been championed further than any other president in my lifetime allowing people to see a lot further down the road of what will happen when this theory is championed- the logical end.

I do think many people with reasoning ability are seeing the light. It is because you care about the downtrodden that you don't make them dependent on the state. Kinda like tough love for a kid, whom you love enough to allow them to find their own way. In the end, they will be the happiest.

Campaigning, vacationing, and golf and he still has time to screw up things

maybe it should read.. Campaigning, vacationing, and golf on our dime, and he still has time to screw up things.

in the absence of creativity and due to a weak president who has given everyone the impression that Obama is confused and short of ideas.

according to the media.,.. this guy is the smartest liberal in the world..

What happened is, the ones who relied so much on polls to base their vote discovered they were led down a path of deceit all but a couple of them have hidden, those remaining chose to blame BUSH and bash the tea party, not their own blindness
