"Anyone working for NBC News who takes part in civic or other outside activities may find that these activities jeopardize his or her standing as an impartial journalist because they may create the appearance of a conflict of interest,” it reads.

  OMG impartial journalist     Has Keith's boss ever watched his show? That man is so bias he is sickening. It can not be a big surprise to him that Keith would donate the full amount allowed to the Dems.

But Kudos to NBC for at least trying to look like they care about how journalist are suppose to act.

NOW they need to do something about "tingle up my leg" Chris Mattrews. I loved the sign behind Michelle Bachmann's head when Chris was interviewing her election night "How's that tingle CHRIS" You could see him coming unhinged during that interview.

How about that other sign that some brownshirt snatched away because it didn't convey the right message? :D :D

Sorry I didn't see any other sign and according to you is was because somebody within her crowd pulled it down. I see that as a good thing not bad. Ask yourself how many times have you seen an offensive sign pulled down at a Liberal gathering? NEVER I would bet.

Poor Keith. Well I will leave a light on for you. You did such good work for all of us holding up your end. I know it was hard. Tomorrow I will have a brand new pitchfork for you to muck out stalls with. That will make you feel better. You will be more in your element.

He and his network are way farther left than Fox ever dreamed about being Right of center.

The leftwing nuts are so far left they fail to see it.

It seems Hannity did the same thing that Olberman did and he still has a job at Fox. I guess you are too far right to see that though. :D :D

In the past, Hannity also gave $4,200 to Jeanine Pirro's 2006 New York senate campaign. Under pressure from New York Republican elders, Pirro ultimately dropped out of the race to challenge incumbent Hillary Clinton.

All of those donations, took place while he was a News Corp. employee.

News Corp policy does permit employees to make donations in a personal capacity. Fox News has long said it considers Hannity, similar to Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck, a host not a news anchor or journalist. A search of federal campaign disclosures found no Fox News on-air journalists such as Shepard Smith to have made contributions or donations.

There is a difference between being allowed to do it and being against company policy bullhauler, Guess you are too far off center to understand that

The part I found funny is the idea that anyone in their right mind thinks Olbermann is or ever was an IMPARTIAL JOURNALIST. He stinks of bias. Hannity has never hid the fact he is a Reagan Conservative but Fox has never claimed him to be an impartial journalist either. BIG DIFFERENCE.

Surely you know the difference in the two and what their positions(jobs) are. Anyone with a couple working brain cells knows the difference.

I see you missed where Hannity gave $5000 to Michelle Bachmann THIS YEAR.

What is the difference between the two? They both have an evening program where they shout and tell lies. Anyone with a working brain cell knows that they are both biased pieces of crap.

Do a little investigating and you just might come up with the answer. After all libs don't appreciate it when you give them something. Open your mind will help

looks to me as MSNBC is looking for a reason to fire him... or push him to quit...

It comes down to keith's pride, or stupidity. He says he did not know he need preapproval and was asked to apologize on air. He refuses to apologize on air, so he's suspended.

For $7 Million/year, I think I might swallow my pride and apologize for not knowing.

It also seems that the other staff at MSNBC would like to blame someone else for his acvtions.

"Well Fox does it, so why can't we?"

Why not just worry about how you conduct your own actions?
