Posie Packer Labeling Equipment Uses ScoringAg's Intelligent Packaging Codes

NewswireToday - /newswire/ - Bradenton, FL, United States, 07/17/2009 - Posie Packer Corp ( Posie Packer Corp. 21 Grange St.,
Guelph, Ontario, Canada N1E 2T6 ) is pleased to announce that the new Posie Packer Bag Labeling machine has been selected by ScoringAg to provide a convenient means for its traceability software customers to apply a intelligent label code called SSI-EID.

Posie Packer Corp is pleased to announce that the new Posie Packer Bag Labeling machine has been selected by ScoringAg to provide a convenient means for its traceability software customers to apply a label printed with UPC code and time sensitive information to their wicketed plastic produce bags and food trays.

The use of labels offers produce packers the opportunity to make all relevant traceability information as well as Country of Origin Labeling, transparent at store level, increasing consumers confidence in the particular bagged produce item. The machine will accurately apply printed and RFID labels, four times faster than current manual application, and packers will not require any change in their current packing lines.

ScoringAg (ScoringAg.com) offers a complete cost effective global database for worldwide traceback and traceup record keeping and documentation of agricultural products with Point-to-Point Traceback™ for each individual Commodity/Entity in just seconds. At each handling point in the ScoringAg supply chain database there is documention because there is always a possiblility that each site a problem might occur, and therefore tracking, at the minimum, should be done starting at the field, through packing, processing, transport, pallet, case level and item-level locations.

The pallet and case is also the common denominator for handlers both grocery, institution, and foodservice. Item-level coding does provide total chain data on every handler as it is recorded in ScoringAg's interoperable database. It offers other store level, marketing and category management efficiencies with built in informatiom including certification's, HACCP,and lab tests along the chain as they happened in real time. Companies wishing to supplement their systems to take advantage of these added efficiencies should ask for field to fork records from ScoringAg when selecting a Posie Packer Corp package machine.

Posie Packer - Floral Processing and Packaging Machinery designed to profitably eliminate drudgery and maximize the quality and value of floral bouquets and food products to the consumer.

Porker what was the cost per unit of such a system? Does it come up to the claims that the packers made about labeling?

We should hold these people accountable for their lies that their greed and whiny baby fear mongering.

Depending on the machine as their quite a few companies that have auto labeling machines that use the ScoringAg database label system,I have heard that the traceback labels cost 0.024 of a cent and stickers cost 0.0031 per sticker with traceback SSI-EID codes . I ran the video of the Canadian built Posie Packaging machine and it's one good looking invention from Canada.

Sounds like someone needs to be accountable for the lies they used to keep out COOL labeling.

I am in favor for a fine equal to the difference between the actual cost and the cost the packers made up in their fear mongering.

We have to get the economics of lying back into line. You just can't do that if you don't hold people accountable.

They don't want stickers with traceback SSI-EID codes . Just to dam much truth in those labels and no way to counterfiet the data. COOL, HACCP and sanitition records can't just disappear with ScoringAg technology. This new Fine $$$$$ of 100,000.00 dollars a day will make even the importers whince.
