(CNN) - A new survey says consumers can expect to pay more for electricity.

Nearly 500 utility executives weighed in for the survey by a consulting and construction firm.

More than 90 percent said people can expect their monthly power bills to go up.

About half of them said the bills would rise "significantly."

That means bills going up about 10 percent or so.

They blame rules requiring the use of more renewable energy and mandating a cut in pollution from coal-fired power plants.

The executives also predict an emphasis on solar power and a surge in electric cars.

They expect electric cars will use 7 percent of the nation's power supply by 2025.

We have come full circle. In the old days common folk worked from sun up to sun down to make a living. They used windmills to pump water and coal to heat their homes and coal oil to provide light when lights were needed. And if Obama has his way we will all be back doing the same things to make ends meet. Digging our own coal, pumping our own water and conserving what precious power we can afford, by going to bed once the sun goes down, so we can use it to charge our cars to get to town to pay the tax man . When we can no longer afford his Hybrid electric cars he is forcing on us, we will all be back driving horses and being taxed on the gas they fart out. :x

We will be doing all this while he flys around on Air Force one telling his koolaid drinking CELEBRITY supporters at his multimillion dollar fund raisers, "if the US hadn't grown so lazy the economy wouldn't be so bad". Once he is finished bad mouthing America and collecting his rewards in campaign donations and taxes, he and Michelle will fly off on yet another tax paided holiday on SEPERATE PLANES.

People might have thought I was crazy building horse drawn wagons and breaking a team of ponies for the fun of it but the way things are going I might be ahead of the rest of you by a couple years.

I think you mean North Dakota, we have several power plants here and ND has the lowest electrical costs of the nation.
