Does Buffalo do Kaycee justice?

Kaycee is Cowboy Country. Buffalo is turning into a tourist trap.

Kaycee sits at the 'end of the horn' (Big Horn Mountains) below the Hole-in-the-Wall where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid hung out. A lot of history there. There is the "Outlaw Cave" where you can walk down in about a mile and see the old corrals Butch and Sundance used.

Lots of bronc riders come from Kaycee. It's a very small town
south of Buffalo. Lots of real characters there. Harold Jarrard
is from there and he has been inducted into the Cowboy Hall of
Fame. They hold the Deke Latham Memorial Rodeo there. Deke
was a PRCA bronc rider that was killed. I think that rodeo has
been voted the favorite PRCA rodeo more than once.

Here is just a little story that comes to mind. Buffalo hosts the Johnson
County Fair; it is a closed fair except to residents of Johnson County. It is however, a real big deal. They have 5 or 7 rodeo performances just
because of the amount of entries. One ole rancher/cowboy from
Kaycee came in to enter up. He was about 70 at the time and bones
wrapped in rawhide. When he said he was there to enter, they asked him if he was entering the Old Men's Breakaway Roping.

He got pretty indignant and informed them that, "Nope, By God. I'm here to enter the calf roping."

Guess I don't know what you are seeking. The only industry
is ranching unless Coal Bed Methane has come into there. If it
has, I haven't heard of it yet.

I thought Woody Harralson made an excellent cowboy in "The
Cowboy Way." I've never liked him in anything else, tho. Perhaps
it is because of the TYPE of movie it is. Most of them, I wind up
not caring to watch.

In "The Cowboy Way" he acts so much like some cowboys from
Kaycee, Wyoming it is uncanny. Anyone that has been there,
knows Kaycee is the "Cowboy Capital of the World."

Haymaker does'nt like that movie.

Pepper says "There ain't no real cowboy's in TEXAS were from New Mexico" now that's funny, and the truth
