It is a 99% done deal McCain will be the next president of the U.S.

Obama lost due to a Black man and is out of white Grandma's to sacrafice.

And the Dems can not switch to Hillary now or their will be a black riot in the streets.

The Dems are between a rock and hard place. And McCain is going to reap the benefits.

What will we talk about now with this one all but in the history books?

Oh I don't think anyone should start counting their chickens yet- especially as daily McCain ties himself closer to the hated Bush regime...
Remember GW still has over 7 months to tip over the egg basket more- and daily drops out another rotten egg Dumya screwup....
Gee- Cheney ain't had his opportunity to turn the sands of Iran to glass yet before Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran McCain can...Both them old geezers ain't got much to worry about since both are close to living on borrowed time...   :(

I still hear a lot of folks saying "McCain is nothing but a second Bush- and no way can this country survive 4 more years of Bush"....Anything else- with or without grandmother looks good to them...

And incidentally- in some of the articles I've read- Obama has lost little of his base support from his biggest followers- the educated middle class and professionals and the young- who realize these are sleaze politics at their best....The same as was used by the Nixon crew against Kennedy because he was a Catholic --which Kennedy countered quite well (like Obama), that he was the one running for President, not the Pope- and that the Popes beliefs were not necessarily the same as his, and he would not mix his religion into his official position/decisions (which Romney did the same when his Mormonism was questioned by the Bible Thumpers)--...

But I agree- the comments will inflame the uneducated, the racists, and those that want to be...Thing is tho--that if the economy keeps/starts hitting more and more in the middle class- especially in the areas now that are getting hit worst (high electoral college vote areas), it won't even matter if its Hitlery running- she will win....

Shhh. Let the little boys have their day. Apparently whistling in the dark is comforting for some people. Me, I just turn on the light. :D

You want to put some money on that. McCain gave a commencement speach at a loony right-wing preachers college. I guess him and Obama can trade loony preachers that suppport them.

McCain can go him one better: The Rev Hagee

Yesterday, Senator John McCain said he was “very honored by Pastor John Hagee’s endorsement.” The Republican presidential hopeful also called Hagee “the staunchest leader of our Christian evangelical movement,” citing the minister’s pro-Israel stance.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue addressed this today:

“There are plenty of staunch evangelical leaders who are pro-Israel, but are not anti-Catholic. John Hagee is not one of them. Indeed, for the past few decades, he has waged an unrelenting war against the Catholic Church. For example, he likes calling it ‘The Great Whore,’ an ‘apostate church,’ the ‘anti-Christ,’ and a ‘false cult system.’ To hear the bigot in his own words, click here. Note: he isn’t talking about the Buddhists.

“In Hagee’s latest book, Jerusalem Countdown, he calls Hitler a Catholic who murdered Jews while the Catholic Church did nothing. ‘The sell-out of Catholicism to Hitler began not with the people but with the Vatican itself,’ he writes.

“For the record, Hitler persecuted the Catholic Church and was automatically excommunicated in 1931—two years before he assumed power—when he acted as best man at Joseph Goebbel’s Protestant wedding. Hitler even bragged about his separation from the Church. As for doing nothing about the Holocaust, Sir Martin Gilbert reminds us that Goebbels denounced Pope Pius XII for his 1942 Christmas message criticizing the Nazis (the New York Times lauded the pope for doing so in an editorial for two years in a row). Much to Hagee’s chagrin, Gilbert also says that Pius XII saved three quarters of the Jews in Rome, and that more Jews were saved proportionately in Catholic countries than Protestant countries. Indeed, Israeli diplomat Pinchas Lapide credited the Catholic Church with saving 860,000 Jews. No religion can match that.

Senator Obama has repudiated the endorsement of Louis Farrakhan, another bigot. McCain should follow suit and retract his embrace of Hagee.”

I would love to! Pick a trust worthy person on here and we can send them our money to hold until the election.

The point here is not right or wrong. Maybe McCain should repudiate Hagee. But Hagee is not going to cost McCain the election, just like Farrakhan would not have cost Obama the election. But Wright is going to cost Obama the election, you can count on it. I am not sure if Obama will even be the Democratic nominee. Wright very likely could have even cost Obama the Democratic nod. I think if Obama gets the Dem nomination it will be solely because the Super Delegates are afraid to give it to Hillary due to the race problem. If they were smart they would give Hillary the nomination, because Obama is toast.

Funny thing is from what I know of the Super Delegates this might be a legitimate time to use their power to nominate Hillary since Obama messed things up so bad. But then the whole Democratic Super Delegate things confuses me.
