Presidential Trivia

I was watching a show on tv this afternoon- and an interesting fact came to light... Since Nixon we have had 7 Presidents... And since Nixon resigned 40 years ago in a scandal/criminal investigation- we have had only 4 of those Presidents serve 2 terms...

And of those 4- by this time in their Presidencies 2 were involved in major investigations and scandals involving alleged criminal acts-- and had impeachment or had criminal convictions of top administration officials - Reagan and Clinton...

The 3rd- GW Bush left office under a shadow of false statements and constitutional issues with the lowest public approval rating since Nixon - 25% ...

But at this time of the Presidency on July 30th 2006 - Gallup polling showed GW's approval at 40% with Obama's on July 29th 2014 being about identical 39-41% depending on pollster....

Makes a person wonder if any President will ever again meet the demands of the current country which is so partisanly divided...

Yep- and I voted for GW too... A real Phuck up... And Reagan who probably broke more laws than any of the others but was able to get folks to buy into his "I can't remember" testimony... Didn't vote for either Clinton or GHW tho.... Definitely have a past 50 years history of Presidential alleged scandals- actual lawbreaking- convictions- pardons- etc. --- so it really should not be surprising that folks don't have as much respect for the position as they did...

We need another Ronald Reagan. He was a uniter, not a divider. He was a smart and capable man that almost everyone liked, both in our country and abroad. He was a good delegator, and chose the best people he could find to accomplish the work that needed to be done. He is by far the best president that I have known in my time.
