Price comparison

In Canada what are the prices of these items?

Milk
Gasoline
Diesel
5 wt steers
eggs

etc.

The exchange rate printed is almost par but I've had friends say there is a greater inequity. I'm just curious.

Here's what I was looking for. If the exchange rate is basically par, why the price disparity?
Is the exchange rate accurately fixed or is there some manipulation?

It seems that our dollar buys almost 20 percent less than it should in Canada and the Looney buys 20 percent more down here. How come?

You have the so called "official" exchange rate and then you ahve the market rate (black market rate) which is what you dollar is really worth. Ordinarily when people really want you dollars they pay more for them. Seems they're telling yo they don't really want them but will take them at a disconted rate.

Hard to compare Milk and Eggs as we have Marketing boards that set prices and control production. Hard to compared Gasoline ans Diesel as we have higher Tax rates then the US.
