Problem companies

Reading Manitoba Ranchers problems with his combine on Ranch Talk, made me think of this.

I think we should list companies that we have had problems with, so as to alert others to be careful doing business with them. I have a problem going on right now and it is with, of all companies, LA-Z-BOY.

I bought a new sofa and loveseat last fall, say November. It is LA-Z-BOY.
The loveseat has matted down so bad it looks terrible. I contacted the local furniture store that I bought it from. They came out and looked and said the company won't stand behind it because matting is not the same as worn. It was a chenile type fabric, very pretty, but one side of the love seat looks more like the new microfibre, very flat finish. La-z-boy doesn't have a salesman in this area right now, or that might help. I contacted La-Z-boy myself and they won't do a thing about it. Now when you sit on that side, there
is no support. It is just worn out. I am so mad about this and no one cares. This piece isn't a year old yet. I've got to get to work, but I will post a picture tonight; the ones I sent La-Z-Boy. I'd never buy nothing else from them. I can't even sell this, no one would buy it...

Anybody got any other ideas, or companies they would like to 'Black list' right here? Might save others some agony.

FH---I have always been a huge fan of La-Z-Boy.....right up until I splurged and bought the hubby a leather recliner for father's day...within a few months, the seat cushion looked as though it had been mangled, mashed and looked just awful...course, the hubby still loves the chair because it is one of those great big huge monstrosities that can sit a father and his two boys very comfortably, the the way it fell out of shape had ME bent outta shape, too!! Alot of money for a name brand that no longer stands by that name! very very very sad!!

I'd like to boycott all gas/oil companies in general....if I did not have 10 miles to drive to work each day...been giving some serious thought to buying me a moped for work and that makes the hubby break into fits of uncontrollable laughter....I guess the visual of ME...on a moped....in 2 foot snow drifts just is way too much for him to handle!! making things rather tight around here with 3 vehicles running full-time...at least the 17 year old can take the bus to school til november when basketball (and twice a day practices) starts!!

FH this is a heck of a good idea you got going. You all know who I would put on the list....

As for fuel prices, this morning the gold truck... I mean fuel truck came to the yard to fill up the tank so I thought I would get him to fill our Magnum tractor that was low on fuel to see what it would cost just to fill it. $300 was the total not to mention the $4000 worth he put in the storage tank. And round here at this time of year that doesnt last long!!!! :???:

I'm seeing a big upswing in the amount of ladies riding motor scooters-- the old flat footstand "Paris Holiday" type....I noticed one the otherday a lady was riding that was yellow with floral print  Also seen several people riding the 4 wheeler ATV's to work...I hope no one finds my parking spot- down the alley between two trash cans right at the back door of the Waterhole and across the alley from the hardware store :) ...

FH- you should put pressure on the furniture store that sold you the Lazy Boy. They should be the ones that replace it for you and then they can deal with Lazy Boy. They shouldn't be selling furniture if it doesn't have a good track record.

I did. And they are going to. They say they don't have much trouble with La-Z-boy, but when they do La-Z-boy won't stand behind the product.

Usually there is a salesperson for La-Z-boy that can help out, but right now there is no salesman in this area.

Thanks!

I wanted to put the pictures up here, but when I right click, I can't get the window that says "copy" to come up. What could I be doing wrong? I have the pictures in photobucket and am doing what I always do. Hummm?

FH,

What I do in Photobucket I click on the address just beneath the picture, then I go to the very top, click on Edit, click on copy, then go to where you want to post your pic, go to the top and click Edit, paste. Another 'round about way to get your pic posted :)

Finally got it to work. I forgot to hit control c and control v...

Anyway, here is the furniture. It isn't a year old yet. Looked like this since about June. Purchased in November and it looks much worse than it does here.

ACS...are you sure it's the Assn's fault or the previous owner for not getting them transferred? I know that with our Red Angus Assn., they are great about sending papers, but they have to be transferred first, and we have a couple breeder friends who are pretty dang slow at getting them transferred!

Hang in there...maybe you should make a call to them...and be nice!!! The quality of service at a place like an Association is usually directly proportional to the attitude on the other end...if someone gets snarly, service gets bad. And, you don't want your name to be on the "problem breeder" list at the Assn. either! If after you call you still don't get your papers, talk to your Board member. That tends to get results!

Cheers---

I'm glad you all are enjoying yourself...

How would you like to buy a $5 raffle ticket????
I think that's the only way I'm going to come out on it...

However, I don't give up easily.

I don't care if someone sat on it all day, everyday, it shouldn't look like this.

Hi ACS:

I just went to the CAA website:

http://www.cdnangus.ca/

I encourage you to check out their site too, as I see they have a note on their front page saying they are very behind, and that if you need a transfer ASAP for show or sale to include URGENT on your transfer.

Good luck, yes I know it's frustrating. We sometimes deal with the same here with the AQHA...Hang in there.

Cheers---
