My mother died with it. So I'm sitting here wondering about the testing. Would I really want to know this soon in life whether I have the marker  :???: since there is no cure?
Would I get my life better organized and do the things I've put off before I forget them? Hmmmmmm....

I've thought the exact thing-- I took care of an uncle for years that had it ( his wife took off and left him when she found out he had it :( )-- finally had to put him in the home before he died....

But I always wondered the same- would I want to know :???:

This has been mentioned about in my family also since my uncles death earlier this winter. ( Of course some of you may remember THAT discussion!!!)

My Uncle had all the testing and clinical trials when he and his Dr's suspected that he had ' it' and he got all of his affairs in order post-haste, which turned out to be the best thing.

Between this and cancer , it does make you think, what ' if'.

Oh by the by....my friend Ally( remember the one that did not exist) died Sat and I've got another funeral to go to this PM.  We were supposed to make another trip to NYC this week....but things went bad fast!!
