Anyone have any experience or know anything about Sila-Mix II, a hay preservative/inoculant? It is a product of Ralco Nutrition. The local feed salesman has been selling a lot of Gandy boxes and this product in the area. I'm not looking to try to bale hay too wet, but if it would help make better quality hay, I would sure be interested. Price is roughly $1.68/bale for the Sila-Mix, with the Gandy box and attachments at $875 plus tax. It is a granular product, and is non-corrosive to equipment.
