Question for libs on Truman

You can't speculate on the past. He's dead and we'll never know.

Besides can't compare that " war time" to this one, it's apples and oranges with more and different variables.

Nice try though!!

valid point, I agree

the libs of those days had the backbone to stand up to right the wrongs....

todays libs, well....Bill Clinton.

Sure there are differences in these wars, but you can still speculate what Harry would do. Somehow I do not see Harry folding and running home and hiding hoping all will magically disappear.

You're right. Harry would have had a plan. He would have gone after the dirty SOBs that attacked us not after someone he just wanted to get rid of. He would have stayed after the SOBs until he got them and not wussed out and started a war that he couldn't even tell the American public exactly why he needed to start it. He would have changed his strategy just as soon as he saw the original strategy wasn't working and he would have REALLY changed it and not just give the same thing another name. Yes, I agree, Harry would have done things differently.

He wouldn'y have stood idly by and watched the Cole attacked, etc.

Was that part of the war against Iraq? I must have missed that part. That was your original post wasn't it? The WAR I mean.
