That's a mighty windy post Miss Tam,if you spent your time worrying about feed ban compliance instead of what the American Cattle man is doing I believe you would fare much better.
Like ECon said .you are a foreigner now,so mind your own buisness ..............good luck
PS and not a very big one ,I might add :D

   You know all of my life I have been hearing lots of American politicians and ambasadors up here in Canada telling us whats wrong with Canada and what we need to do, etc.
But then some Canadian girl gives her oppinion about the beef industry and they basically tell her to shut up because she is a foreigner   .
Reminds me of years ago when I was in Missouri. Sherrif told me that he throws people in jail for having an open beer thats not in a paper bag. Said thats what he does to people that lived in the town all their lives. Said he was much worse to outsiders from out of town. Said he treated foreigners from out of State even worse. Said with me being from Canada that it was even worse than being a foreigner from out of State. Said he wasnt even sure what to call me<he eventually came up with alien>.  His whole world was a sixty mile radius around that town.
Had to comment Roper...excellent post, hope the point gets across 8)

Tam has a right to her opinion, I will not deny that one bit. She has her own perspective. In my opinion it is short sighted a lot of the time but it is still her opinion.

Just because she has the right to her opinion does not mean she can or needs to interpose that on anyone else---especially a group that is providing for its own self interest in another country. When I called Tam a "Canadian" I was pointing this fact out. I do not paint everyone in Canada with the same brush. There are intelligent and smart Canadians and there are dumb ones, just like there are intelligent and dumb people here in the US and even on this board.

The people in the jewish church leadership do not go and make policy for the baptist congregation and vice versa. That doesn't mean that the jewish or the baptist leadership are inherently evil or that either one of them holds anything against each other, it just means they can manage their own group for their own self interest. It is the same with tam being a canadian and talking about rcalf. rcalf has a right to govern their own organization without the "help" from tam. It gets a little tiring to hear her try to govern it.

The comment I made had nothing to do with other Canadians or their postings on this forum. It had specifically to do with tam and her continual rants about rcalf. She can disagree with them all she wants and post those disagreements, but she doesn't need to try to manage an organization in another country that doesn't agree with her perspective. Quite frankly I am a little tired of her trying to drag me into those discussions ALL THE TIME. I can see both sides quite clearly.

Don't worry tam, I think dick cheney did the same thing with the russians. It is not conducive to getting along.

Do you know what a "Home Gaurd" is?
Let me tell you.
Its a kid that never got off his Fathers outfit. Never worked anywhere else, always had Daddy to protect him, make a "Pet" out of him.
Never has really had to earn what was given to him.
There whole world is right around their home territory and they never venture far from it because it would be to scary for them without Daddy being close by to help them.
They tend to have a high oppinion about themselves because there parents teach them that they are very special and since they have never had to do anything on their own they dont know any better.
They dont respect Women or know how to talk to them or anybody else for that matter because their parents have them spoiled and protected.

Lets just get out of all that then. I happen to think all the producers are pawns in this game whether in the U.S. or Canada. When I talk about Canadians not getting their govt. to do this or to do that I know that most Canadians are like U.S. producers; they don't have a say so in it at all. The game is being played by policy makers that are influenced in the capital by paid lobbyists of the packers. A lot of the politicians may not even know the real story after the paid hacks have their time with them. Especially since the producer organizations are playing along with this internationalization crap. They are out of touch because of the system we have developed. World markets are nice to put off extra production onto when oversupply happens but it is really just a dumping ground for commodities. The U.S. is good at that game. The Europeans do it all the time too. Every developed country does it with goods and undeveloped countries do it with labor. We need to be exporting the things that have made us wealthy----justice, opportunity, fair taxation, etc., but we need to practice it at home first.

RoperAB, "Econ I dont know who is at fault for all the snotty remarks that go back and forth on here but if rcalfers on here are putting down Canadian Producers all the time I think its silly not to expect responses."

I beg to differ. It seems R-CALF is generally the target as opposed to R-CALF members doing the shooting. I grow weary of "R-CULT", misquotes, policy misconceptions, etc.... How about we all back off a little bit and realize we all have different angles?

Yes, BMR. Are you? Why did you ask the question?

Yes I am , We have a cow herd raise some PB bulls , Background some of our calves and have fed to finish some of our cattle. Have been involved in most aspects of the industry for over 30 years.
Yp\ou are eager to tell producers what they should be doing I was just wondering what credentials you have to be doing this.

So how did your experience and credentials equate to helping the Canadian producers during the bse fiasco? It seems your govt. paid off the americans that were screwing your producers. The question is, what have you done for producers? Did you help create the animosity that exists between Montana and Canada with the policies that your group promoted?

So many questions, BMR. Are you going to rest on the defense of being just a dumb cowboy?
