Sounds like a great idea mrs greg. fortwestern.com and drysdales.com have some cool western borders... They have some cool accessories too.

As far as the stencil... I don't know, but I know some ladies who have used thin plastic, like the top of an ice cream pail to draw and cut out their own stencil, like with an exacto knife. I don't think I could do this unless I could look at one to draw it. At fortwestern.com they have one of those vinyl things that go in a pickup window that is barbwire.

Here's another site... it has door knobs, cabinet pulls, all kinds of stuff, may be spendy :???: http://lonestarwesterndecor.com/westerndecor.html

Good luck and keep us posted, I will be doing some decorating later this summer as we are planning a big move. [/url]

If you can paint any at all, you don't need a stencil for Barbwire. It's real easy to free hand. I've done my bathroom, and Lil Lilly's bedroom border with barbwire border that I just painted on myself, I am one that absolutely hates wallpaper or any kind of border, not only do I hate puttin it up, but when it comes time to take it off, that's even worse...with a painted on border, when you get tired of it, you can just paint over it. I'll post a couple pictures for you so you can get an idea of what I'm talkin about.

As you can see all our walls are textured, so wall paper border wouldn't work anyway. Mr Lilly always just shakes his head, and goes on his merry way when I get in the mood to paint somethin. He never knows what it's gonna turn out like, usually thinks I've lost my ever lovin mind, but things work out in the end and he likes it LOL
This first one is Lil Lilly's room, I painted the back ground stripe first, then measured where I wanted the horse shoes....held a horse shoe up on each mark and drew around it with a pencil, then came back and painted it in with a small brush. The barbwire is done with a real small long bristled brush used for penstriping cars.

This one is my bathroom, done the same way except the stars I made my own stamp, cut out a star from a scrap piece of leather, and glued it to a small piece of wood. Then painted the paint on the leather part and then push it against the wall. I measured and made a dot on the wall where I wanted each star too, just like I did with the horseshoes.

Lilly, when our daughter got married she had horseshoes with candles in center at tables. The horseshoes had to be black sooo greg layed horseshoes out on our sidewalk, heading along sidewalk,up stairs ,into doorway of house, sprayed them,so it looked like after he took the shoes away that a horse walked up into the house  I'll look for the picture and post it later...it was really cute and totally his idea :D

Mrs. Greg, there is a gal in Nanton who runs a store (online as well) called Gone Southwest that specializes in all that stuff. Her website is www.gonesouthwest.com
