Question on a Simmental bull

our new bull is Angus not Simmie... wonder if the Caesar bull is still alive and and where he's at....
 
I guess I'm just a dumb cowboy from Cameron Flats so I have to ask.... what is or breed is flecvieh? I'm guessing Simmental but what makes them special?

Yep Fleckvieh are a variation of Simmental- I think from southern Germany, Bavaria, Austria area....They are the old red and white and paint simmentals I first remember...
Few left around here- only one local breeder- and he cut way back when hay got short, as they are large cows (1800 lb)- and can eat a haystack apiece- and when he hauled his weaned heifers in this January they weighed more than many of the two year olds I was calving (980 lbs)...

Yanuck- I found out the bull is alive and is at Jimmy Henderson's in Del Bonita Canada.....

thanks OT, BMR I'm a few hours north of Del Bonita...5 ish depending on how many Mounties I meet :wink:
