This is a US rancher's group discussing policy in the US. Maybe if you minded your own business, there would be a Canadian packing industry.

Oh Sandhusker don't spank me so hard.  Does M'COOL not involve imports? Why can't you guys see that your being left in the dust. Canadian cattle producers can ID their cattle. Heck bring COOL on were ready . Are you? Remember the big seller Canadian Bacon is, heck Canadian beef will be bigger. Where do you want your Beef raise the Pristine Canadian Rockies or the Everglades?

If your beef is such a hot deal, why not label it now? Could it be that while you were cussing R-CALF your packing industry got taken away from you and the Americans who own you now don't want to label your beef?

Last time I was in Ontario and Manitoba I missed those Rockies. Are they there on just certain days of the week?

Sandhusker our beef is labeled when it leaves Canada. It's just that the US wants to pass it off as theirs. You weren't looking hard enough for the Rockies. They are in every Americans mind when they think of Canada. Besides germs can't live in the cold so that makes our beef safer from the start. Don't you know anything?

Oh Yea Sandhusker if you really want to see the Rockies you should have come to Saskatchewan and skipped Manitoba and Ontario

I wasn't there to look for mountains. I can see mountains two hours from my house, I can be in the Rockies in 6 hours. I was there to fish - which is what most Americans think of when they think of Canada - fish and snow.

And clear deep lake ,fresh water. Minnesota might have 10,000 lakes but Saskatchewan has 100,000 lakes. The perfect picture to put on Quality Canadian beef.

Conman: "The USDA can't even enforce a meat recall. What makes you think they will do anything with a traceback system that helps producers?"

SO WHY HAVE THE STUPID LAW???

See how self contradicting you blamers are?

You want a labeling law that you don't want enforced because you don't want to be burdened with a traceback system and claim that USDA won't enforce it anyway. YET YOU PROCEED AHEAD WITH IT. Hahaha!

I'm sure that will be puzzling scientists for years.

THIRD TIME SANDBAG!

DO YOU TRUST PACKERS TO LABEL CANADIAN BEEF AND MEXICAN BEEF ACCURATELY WITHOUT A TRACEBACK SYSTEM TO ENFORCE COUNTRY OR ORIGIN LABELING???

YES OR NO

It's a yes or no question! The kind you hate!

Let's see, you insult me and then demand I answer a question of yours. You're a class act. NO, SH I don't trust them. But guess what, we don't need an all encompassing traceback as has been proposed. We just need one that starts at the packer.

If I remember correctly, I answered a yes/no question for you yesterday on the topic of packer collusion. It immediately followed another incorrect statement of yours that stated a packer would never simply bid what their "competition" was bidding.

You're a real piece of work.

If we are not careful, we will have no laws ruling our land. Laws are beneficial for everyone in a society. Just because some people don't like them it is no reason to stop making them, abiding by them or enforcing them.

SH, I am sure at some point some of the laws and civil duty will even save your life. Why don't you ask yourself that question at that time.

Sometimes you are such a squirrel brain.

How do you suppose we enforce "M"COOL without a traceback IF YOU DON'T TRUST THE PACKERS TO LABEL IMPORTED BEEF CORRECTLY???

Sandsnake: "If I remember correctly, I answered a yes/no question for you yesterday on the topic of packer collusion. It immediately followed another incorrect statement of yours that stated a packer would never simply bid what their "competition" was bidding."

Only you would be stupid enough to believe that packers bid according to other packers. LOL! If that was the case, the market would never move. Nobody would raise their bids according to increasing demand or lower their bids according to increasing supply. You're such an idiot and you just proved it again.

Laws have to be JUSTIFIED and ENFORCEABLE. "M"COOL, as written, is neither.

Only you would be stupid enough to ignore court testimony from a packer that said exactly that. Either you don't know what you're talking about again or that packer jurjured themselves. What is it?

So big business can pick and chose which laws are justified and which ones are not?

Are you talking about the U.S. or a fascist state, SH?

Bring me USPB's exact testimony Sandsnake. I want to see where USPB stated that the they TOTALLY relied on other packer's bids to determine what they would bid.

Your word is worthless, bring me the proof.

You insult me twice and then demand I bring you proof? You can go do deep squats in the asparagus patch until you learn some civility.
