Time Magazine- and Teddy Kennedy made the "best congressman" list so you can judge it from there

But I agree Conrad is smelling pretty bad and looks awful crooked right now--Going to try and buy his way back for 1 more term using big corporate and out of state big business donations....Voted for him 3 times- even donated to one of his campaigns-- but I can't anymore....Even if he isn't indicted he needs ousted for being so stupid to get tied up with Abrahms and all the big money lobbyists......

Besides when he ran against and beat John Melcher his whole campaign was that Melcher was too old and had been in office too long- and was too deeply tied to the Washington lobbyists...Conrad pledged he would be a 2 term Senator- that was 3 terms ago

The economics of the party are carefully calculated. The party can take someone like Conrad and trash him if he doesn't do what they want, or they can give him a lot of help if he does do what they want.

They can also run this country by allowing all these senators that are in trouble politically to go home with the populist rhetoric for the home state's voters. It doesn't matter though, they have the votes to keep running the country like a bunch of crooks.

The republican party is running the country right now. They are all in it together, if you ask me, with a few execptions here or there. I don't know why some of them don't hold their votes on current issues until the corrupt committees start doing their jobs. If they don't hold their state's votes and vote party line on everything, they are complicit in the little frauds being perpetuated.

I remember when Bill Frist was admonished by the current corrupt ruling republicans. They "were going to show him how things are done on the hill". Shortly afterwards Lott lost his position.

I don't know how so many of these guys have turned out so bad.

My Goodness, TAM, look at all the "R's" behind their names. Guess it's not those "liberal" R-Calfer supporters that are in all the trouble, huh? It's those people who support corporations making as much as they can without worrying about whose toes they step on in turning a buck.

In other words, Packer-backers.
