Re: R-CALF USA President/Region V Director Chuck Kiker

to Speak at Joint Fund-Raiser – 1 p.m. MST – Friday – November 3

Public Auction Yards (PAYS) – Billings, Mont.

R-CALF USA President and Region V Director Chuck Kiker will speak about current cattle industry issues at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, at the Public Auction Yards (PAYS) in Billings, Mont., at a rollover calf sale. Hugh Broadus will donate a replacement-quality one-quarter Gelbvieh/three-quarters Angus heifer for the auction. Proceeds from the fund-raiser will be split 50/50 between R-CALF USA and the Montana Cattlemen’s Association (MCA), an R-CALF USA affiliate organization.

Rollover calf sales are fund-raising events put on by R-CALF USA volunteers to raise money for the organization. Those who wish to support the efforts of R-CALF USA can bid on a calf, then donate the animal back so it can be auctioned off again and again, until bidding ceases. Contributors will receive an R-CALF USA membership or renewal.

Activities carried out by R-CALF USA for the benefit of the U.S. cattle industry are funded exclusively by the independent cattle producers who pay their membership dues and by cattle producers, main-street businesses, and other individuals who participate in and contribute to fund-raising events.

R-CALF USA works on various issues that affect independent U.S. cattle producers, such as country-of-origin labeling, livestock price reporting, animal health concerns, captive supplies and packer ownership of livestock, as well as various trade agreements.
