R-Calf Sucks!!!!

SD Steve,

Cal and his family are absolutely among the most progressive, forward thinking producers in this 3 county area, BAR NONE!

They are true businessmen in every sense of the word. The amount of twine they have gone through is a testiment to their baler, not a brag as you would spin it. I doubt they concern themselves with how much twine others are using but you apparently do.

Their neighbors admire their work ethic and they have some of the finest quality cattle in the area.

You won't see Cal or his father at a blamer's convention crying in their beer about packer concentration and captive supplies, they are too busy moving forward to look backward.

Don't envy the successful businessman SD Steve, BE ONE!

Cal is the one who seemed to have the need to brag about how much twine he used. That is bragging in my book. Some day I am going to write a book titled "Bigshots, Blowhards, and Brother-in-laws" I think Cal will be in chapter one.
If anyone asks me how many cows I have or how many acres I farm I tell them it is none of their damn business. I certainly don't need to brag about it on some discussion board.
If bragging about all the fancy machinery Cal's Dad buys him to run makes him a succesful businsman in your book good for you. It just makes him a braggart to me.

{SDSteve, did you miss the point that Cal was simply pointing out to Haymaker (who called Cal a "two-bit wannabe") that maybe someone who uses lots of twine to make lots of bales probably is more than a "wannabe"?

Both you and Haymaker are exposing yourselves as envious and churlish with a chip on your shoulders........at best. Try growing up and put more of your effort into improving your lot in life rather than berating those you assume are better off than you think they should be.

Yeah, Yeah, once upon a time a junior high teacher who could often exhibit about the same social levels as some of the students in the class used that same point, elliciting guffaws from his less than stellar students! Actually there probably have been/are many who taught the same gem.

However, I was not the one doing the assuming, though I did attribute the assumption to SDSteve, based upon his words indicating such was the case.
