Oh Econ lil grumpy today did the store pony buck you off?

Watch out who you are spurring there, MR. I can ride whiney Canadian crybaby packer sell out all the way from Mexico to north of Montana. The time limit on your favorite ride at the local grocery store might not save you.

I heard some of the show. It was typically predictable Derry Brownfield.

Both he and R-CALF depend upon doom, gloom, and conspiracy theories to sell their products.

"The sky is falling.....buy gold".....or "we don't need exports....just keep out that 'crap' from overseas and sell our own beef"....type of stuff.

MRJ, the doom and gloom has been happening in agriculture for producers for a long time. It is funny you haven't noticed it.

Others have.

Maybe I did err in that post!

Investing in gold makes much more sense than "investing" in R-CALF lawsuits!

Econ, doom and gloom are part and parcel of life. How one reacts to and manages it is the telling element. Most of us are just an eye-blink from disaster from natural or self-induced causes.......physically and financially devastating illness in a family, divorce, various abusive behaviors, droughts......on and on it goes. Who it will harm next, no one knows. The blame game does nothing to help anyone survive and prosper.

OT, it is sad that you are so envious and jealous of ranching and farming families who scrimped and saved in even the worst of economic times, and invested in businesses in their communities. That is how our family and the dozen or more other families involved in that same business did it. I do know the goal was to have local people controlling their bank, and to diversify their investments outside the actual farms and ranches. NONE of the owners have worked within that business, by the way, and they also are under stricter rules than any others borrowing from said institution, for the record.
