Maybe Republicans should start listening to a few more of those folks about how nutcase their party is appearing to the rest of the world- unless they continually want to end up on the loser side....

Oldtimer do you really think a Conservative is going to take a leftwingnut MSNBC Liberal Talking head seriously?

The last thing the US needs is for the Republican party to act more like the friggin spend thrift Dems. Why can't you get it through your booze soaked freebe wanting brain the US IS BROKE and encourageing the entitlement classes of the US is not going to stop the slide in to bankrupcy. As long as the Dems keep promising free stuff the US demographics are never going to change back to stop that slide. The only way that slide is going to stop now is when the US HITS BOTTOM and the government is FORCED to say no to all of those looking for a hand out, even you Oldtimer. BTW you can thank all those women looking for free birth control for the speedy road to your freebe cuts.

Actually it is the libs before and after. Especially now, just look at many boards. Now they are back to having to defend obamas past actions and lies and prepare for new lies and actions. So they are still like a cat in the litter box.

so if a side has a majority we should abandon our ideals and listen to their views? ..

and if the world doesn't like or views we should change?

sounds fair.. but how about on here.. it is clear you're in a minority.. and many on here have a pretty low opinion of you.. some would even say you are a nutcase.. Does that mean you should take my advice?

I would rather be the only one to believe the truth than stand with the whole world in a lie.

every-time in recent history we nominated a moderate/liberal candidate they have lost..

and if by chance they won a senate or congressional seat .. most soon lost re-election...

if anyone remembers the blue dog democrats.. we can see that it is the same on the left.. moderates lose elections, and re-elections..

leaders with conviction win... (or at least don't lose)

Conservative Columnist Speaks the Truth about the Election

Conservative columnist Kathleen Parker is one of the few Republicans willing to face up to the real reason Mitt Romney lost: the Republican Party itself. Her point is that if Romney were freed of the constraints of the tea party dominated Republican Party, he would have run as a sensible business-oriented moderate and emphasized that Obamacare was a great idea, and one Obama got from him. But he was forced to compete in the primaries with a bunch of clowns and one semiserious politician who failed to realize that national politics are tougher than Texas politics. This circus made Romney say things that tied him in knots and laid the seeds of his own destruction, such as telling illegal aliens to self deport. If he didn't have to appeal to a lot of people who are way out in right field somewhere, he could have simply said he favored the immigration reform plan co-authored by Sen. John McCain and pushed by President George W. Bush. But if he had said that, he wouldn't have survived the primaries. Parker's comments are probably the most painful, but most accurate, from any conservative writer so far. Blaming Sandy is not going to fix the Republican Party's problems.
