water under the snow and on top of ice

it is deep in spots

big drift in front of stack

more like a canal then a road

2 inches of ice on top of the ground

don't have to worry about plowing sod when moving snow

oh where they tried to move water away from basements digging holes with a backhoe , they say the frost is 18 inches deep. They can't even think of a ditch.

It looked just like that here a month ago - - - thankfully I can only find snow in piles now. I had to drive the plow truck to church last Sunday but to 6" we got then was gone by Wednesday.

We had 2 days in the upper 50sF last week - - - then back into the 20s but we are supposed to warm up to near normal ( +45F for a high ) this week

It has been almost 2 years since we have seen "normal" weather here for a week or more in a row. Mostly staying about 20 degrees below normal year round. Nice in the summer to not have a string of 100+ days but a pain in the butt in the winter.

The weatherman said we set a record for coldest average high and most snow cover since they have kept records in this area. But we survived!
