Rancher, where are you?

Faster horses

I'm worried about him. He was going out horseback to check on his cows because he couldn't get to them any other way. He might have had to swim the river. Very dangerous.

Dang! I hope he is okay and will let us all know~

FH- I was talking with a cattle buyer from Billings today that said that south of Red Lodge has 4+ inches of rain and then 36 inches of snow afterward-- over 6 inches of moisture all together....

My son drove up from Glendive last night and said he ran into over 4" of slush on the road- also some going to Baker this morning turned around at Flowing Wells because of the snow and slush......

I ended up with .3 of moisture on the river and .2 up on the north place...

I'm sure I know how rancher felt this morning-- spring storms and calves and colts are a bad combination and can make a person awful cranky...Soon as it melts and the grass starts greening he will probably lighten up....
