We don't need targets.

Just teasin' you two. We'd all enjoy visiting with you. After all, we are all adults and know have to have rationale debates, without letting anger rule us.

I would suggest our local lake, but the irrigation season was pretty hard on it.....lake is so low, the fish take turns in the water!

Not that I'm partial,,but Valentine would be a great place for a gettogether during Old West Days..For those who haven't had the chance to hear the poetry and music...they would love it.

What time of the year is the fest in Valentine? I don't care where we meet but it would be nice to be able to socialize longer with everyone.

How about we start this survey over. Could we start on which time of the year works best. From there we could decide a place. If the majority of people that could come at a certain time are in one area, then it would be best to be as close to that area as possible. Almost any month works for me except April, May, September and October.

Valentine really has a lot to offer. No offence but myself I wouldn't really be into the poetry and all that not that it's not really nice just not really my thing. However during the time there is also a huge craft fair (or at least used to be.) There is tubing and tanking down the river, gambling at rosebud, shopping , and maybe a few of in the area would consider a ranch tour or something like that.

Good idea feeder......
If there is no interest then we can scrap the whole idea......

You name the time and place, and I'll try my doggondest to be there. Valentine does have a lot to offer, and it is a fairly central location. At least it is half-way between Canada and Mexico, and half-way between the east coast and the west coast.

Okay I did some checking and old west days are the 6,7,8. I'm not sure if that is the same as the poetry gathering.. ( I think it is) anyway the Holiday Inn Express is full and the meeting room is taken. THe meeting room is at least $150.00 dollars There is a possibility that the girl scout cabin is open. And the last I knew it was $75.00 And no alcohol without a permit.... I don't know if the other hotels have a meeting room... I will check with the RAine motel. And I do believe the moutain man rev is at the fair grounds. Correct me if I am wrong....
I am open to suggestions..... And will look into any ideas you guys and gals have..........

You might try the Vets on Main street in Valentine if you're looking for a meeting place. Went to a wedding reception there last weekend and there was room for 100 down there and they served drinks.

Doesn't the bottom of the Peppermill sometimes get closed for groups?

The fair grounds might have a building I think I was invited to a wedding reception or graduation reception out there once.

How about the Holiday Inn doesn't it have a meeting room?
