Motherly love. This was one of the last cows to calve. She was born around dinner time. Then right up and suckin'.

This little guy got in the hay feeder somehow. We don't know how. The pic isn't the best because his momma was comin around the other end of the feeder and I wasn't stickin' around to say hi.

He thought he might as well pose.

One of the pets. Mom came out with me and dad to look at cows and calves. "Buster" as we call him is a pest.

"Buster" playing with mom. He is really brave. Little stinker will come right up to ya.

Bet your wondering what my mom is doing in the cow yard with good clothes on. She can home from work and then came out to see what dad was up to and to see the new baby calf.

With what your mom had on for shoes, I sure hope she was careful where she stepped.

Pretty nice when mom takes enough intrest in whats going on to come and look. Some wives in this country couldn't tell you what kind of cattle their husband runs.

LOL I'm to the point that I don't know what it's like to wear a pair of clean boots. It is gettin better, not as much mud as there was thru the winter months......but I'm still wearin the same ole boots. New ones haven't gotten finished yet, so I'm still waitin. We were talkin the other day, I asked when they was gonna be done. But told him, "ya know, I'll prolly keep on wearin these old one's for ever day, or at least till they are no longer wearable, cuz I won't wanna get the new one's dirty"

As for cows....I'd feel lost if I didn't get to spend time out in the pastures checkin em. I bout go nuts when we have rain and can't cross the creek for 3 or 4 days......lol I start havin bovine withdrawls.
