The country is sure green and pretty. How does the DU projects work for ya? We'd need water to have them involved out here but the RMEF and Muledeer foundation have put in a lot of troughs that benefit wildlife and cattle.

They work great when we get rain :)

Actually most of them are quite shallow and while they do hold a lot of water,
in a number of the projects evaporation is quite rapid. But I am not complaining. Our youngest project was built in the 70's.
Of course from a waterfowl standpoint the upland management to optimize nesting habitat is a critical piece of the equation.
This year we have the water but it has been dry for so long the water birds just are not here. Should be more next year.
