Ask and you shall receive. But to think I'm going to sell my candidate down the road to Socialists when I'm already outnumbered by adverse criticism to the "nth" power by the MSM is absurd. To be clear..........It's already an uphill battle going against the "Gimmiedats" and they're breeding like rats.......... There is no more unbiased media, and they choose the candidates.

Why in the world does holding your candidate / leader of choice to the highest possible standard constitute selling him/her out? That is absolutely shameful. Never settle. Ever. If you settle and allow your leader to be less than he/she should be then you are failing your party and your country. In fact you would be selling your candidate and your party and your country down the road.

That's full blown horse****. You must be totally ignorant of the change in the Democratic Party over the last 30-40 years. At one time, there was actually some honorable and statesmen-like Democrats, but no more. Not even one!

But who says I have never been adversely critical of my chosen candidate? I called for the impeachment of GWB right here on these pages after the Ramos & Compean case was over and when it didn't look as though Bush was going to pardon them. But that's neither here nor there. My criticism got me nowhere because I found out later that he had already been working on a commutation for both of them for months. And if I had had any pull with anyone who mattered on the other side of the aisle, they would have used my words against my chosen candidate to rally their troops against him four or five-fold. Which happened anyway.

It's to the point now in American politics we Conservatives have no choice but to play the game. But not because we aren't statesmen, but because WE ARE Statesmen and true lovers of liberty. The Socialists, or Communists in Socialist clothes have finally gotten the masses over to believing that a vote for them will give them more Gimmies. Bernie Sanders & Hillary are proof of that.

I have done nothing to let my country down. Nothing. I'm just playing the game of politics just as the other side does. I'll also bet you wouldn't say that "I've sold my country down the road" to my face. You Socialist cowards are just that way.

Well you go ahead and canonize every Republican you can find, and never criticize them or hold them to account. Holding to account does not necessarily mean voting the other way. It means phone calls, letters, questioning in public, whatever it takes to keep them towing the line. But you go ahead and give them a free pass on everything. Oh wait, you and your like minded minions already have and look what it's got you. 8 years of democratic disaster with a minimum of 4 to follow. Congratulations.

Ya, he was mad about the border agents being railroaded wasn't he? I have to admit, Mike did find one thing that a R did wrong in his most esteemed opinion.

What about you Brad, anything a Republican ever did that you didn't agree with that you'd like to share?

Hard to know where my criticism of republicans begins. Lincoln suspended free press - holy hell thats a deal killer. Our tenth amendment says all powers not specifically delegated to the federal govt belong to the states. Lincoln and teddy Roosevelt ridiculed this. There was a time my thoughts about restricted government and personal liberty were more inline with Democrats - not new deal democrats or modern screw deal commies. I voted for John Anderson against Ronnie (I voted for the wrong guy) (hope I'm wrong about trump too, but I know Hillary is evil). I've been most aligned lately with Ron Paul, but I'm not exactly a libertarian.

Reagan should have cut more government and I wish he'd been much more reclusive on the world stage. I'd close ramstein so fast - yes I know Europe would cuss us for closing bases like they cuss us for maintaining them. I know Reagan had a hostile congress so he was restricted by them. The bushes were only less offensive than Klinton (nationalize U.S. businesses with social security money hence the c is changed to k) but bush appointees are more faithful to the constitution. only 1/3 of the Republican Party are close to my values, but the effing democrats are outrageous statist tyrants. Imagine someone so illogical to support "choice" when it, when exercised can result in the extermination of innocent babies. But absolutely opposes my right to choose not to participate in a rediculous ponzie scheme called social security. I can never find allegiance with such overwhelming stupidity.

Thanks Brad, that's all I was ever looking for.
I have always voted conservative myself, although we have had some liberal gov't that didn't do us a bunch of harm. The party lines are not so distinct up here between the two, well at least until lately now we have a walking talking disaster in office. Took us 30 years to recover from his dad, I think this one is worse.

I think Canada's financial house is in good shape - even with reliance on oil revenue. Trudeau can parley recipient votes like Obama and Hillary can only dream simply because of US debt. In a way, Trudeau is more dangerous because he has funds. Producers the world over have the same problem - it's politically expedient in the short run to harvest cash from the producers and buy votes with it. Both dems and pubs have engaged in statist vote buying - that explains the trump guys.
