real harmful meddling

WASHINGTON — In the Obama administration’s last days, some White House officials scrambled to spread information about Russian efforts to undermine the presidential election — and about possible contacts between associates of President-elect Donald J. Trump and Russians — across the government. Former American officials say they had two aims: to ensure that such meddling isn’t duplicated in future American or European elections, and to leave a clear trail of intelligence for government investigators.

American allies, including the British and the Dutch, had provided information describing meetings in European cities between Russian officials — and others close to Russia’s president, Vladimir V. Putin — and associates of President-elect Trump, according to three former American officials who requested anonymity in discussing classified intelligence.

Obama aides left ‘trail of intelligence’ on Russian interference

As Inauguration Day approached, Obama White House officials grew convinced that the intelligence was damning and that they needed to ensure that as many people as possible inside government could see it, even if people without security clearances could not.

At intelligence agencies, there was a push to process as much raw intelligence as possible into analyses, and to keep the reports at a relatively low level of classification to ensure as wide a readership as possible across the government and, in some cases, among European allies.

This allowed the upload of as much intelligence as possible to Intellipedia, a secret wiki used by US intelligence analysts to share information. There was also an effort to pass reports and other sensitive materials to Congress. In one instance, the state department sent a cache of documents marked “secret” to Senator Benjamin Cardin of Maryland days before the January 20th inauguration.

More than a half-dozen current and former officials described various aspects of the effort to preserve and distribute the intelligence, and some said they were speaking to draw attention to the material and ensure proper investigation by Congress. All spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were discussing classified information, nearly all of which remains secret.

because it is secret, the liberals can spin their own manufactured story and make it sound as if there is something there.

I wonder how many times Hillery and her team contacted the Russians or were contacted by them?

2006: Giustra donates $31 million to the Clinton Foundation.

2010 to 2011: Millions more donated by Uranium One investors to Clinton Foundation.

June 2010: Bill Clinton receives $500,000 to speak at a conference held by the Russian investment bank involved in the Rosatom transactions.

Unlike more established competitors, Mr. Giustra was a newcomer to uranium mining in Kazakhstan, a former Soviet republic. But what his fledgling company lacked in experience, it made up for in connections. Accompanying Mr. Giustra on his luxuriously appointed MD-87 jet that day was a former president of the United States, Bill Clinton....

Within two days, corporate records show that Mr. Giustra also came up a winner when his company signed preliminary agreements giving it the right to buy into three uranium projects controlled by Kazakhstan’s state-owned uranium agency, Kazatomprom.

The monster deal stunned the mining industry, turning an unknown shell company into one of the world’s largest uranium producers in a transaction ultimately worth tens of millions of dollars to Mr. Giustra, analysts said.

Just months after the Kazakh pact was finalized, Mr. Clinton’s charitable foundation received its own windfall: a $31.3 million donation from Mr. Giustra that had remained a secret until he acknowledged it last month.

For example, when Hillary assumed the job as Secretary of State, she assented to a limitation of the foundation's international activities and agreed to disclose contributors. It appears, at a minimum, there was incomplete follow-through upon these assurances.

The Clinton campaign has denied that Hillary had any direct involvement in Rosatom's obtaining approval to complete the deal. A spokesman said that no one:

“...has ever produced a shred of evidence supporting the theory that Hillary Clinton ever took action as secretary of state to support the interests of donors to the Clinton Foundation.”

On the other hand, an individual - requesting anonymity - with knowledge of the Clintons' fundraising operations, commented on the possible motivations for giving massive sums of money to the foundation:

“Why do you think they are doing it — because they love them?”

After the story was published, Mitt Romney stated that "it looks like bribery." He said, "I presume we might know for sure whether there was bribery or was not bribery if she hadn't wiped out thousands of emails." Romney added that "this is bigger than just her presidential campaign. I mean, this is a question about whether or not the United States Secretary of State was bribed to grease the sale of strategic assets to Russia."

the Clinton team should be careful. Working for corrupt foreign officials and businesses is big business for K Street firms, the most influential of which are the movers-and-shakers of the Democratic Party. The Podesta Group, with close ties to the Clinton and Obama administrations, lobbied for Russia’s largest bank, a suspected money launderer. Lobbying giant Ketchum has represented Gazprom, the Russian state-owned energy behemoth. Fugitive Ukrainian oligarch, Dymtro Firtash, is represented by Democratic heavyweight lawyer Lanny Davis, who accuses Trump of “inviting Putin to commit espionage” and denies all wrongdoing by Hillary. Rep. John Conyers reads Kremlin propaganda into the Congressional Record, the obvious success of a Kremlin lobbyist.

The Clinton team should remember that people who live in glass houses should not throw the first stone. If the American public knew the unsavory clients of K-Street law and PR firms, they might pull out their pitchforks. If so, our political class would lose their plush lifestyle of life after politics. Be careful. A cooperative media cannot protect you forever.

Conyers might as well have been on Putin’s payroll.

Sorry if it was so damning Obama, Clapper, Brennen would have used it to stop Trump on day one. But committee after committee briefed by FBI say there is no evidence of a links, it has been going on for months. And if anyone thinks there is a solid link and those three have not used it to destroy Trump himself, they're delusional. Why would they go after Flynn, Priebus, now Sessions and GOD only knows who's next, if they had "DAMNING" evidence against Trump.
I believe there is no evidence and all they have are rumours, but when you have a willing media running anything and everything to tarnish the WH, rumours is all you need to keep the investigations going.
This is no different than the last months of the election campaign, every time Trump was making head way against Hillary her campaign would trot out another women to accuse him of inappropriate touching. Where are all those sexually assaulted women now that Trump won. Now it is Russian links, Trump makes a great speech and the Obama shadow government leaks out another RUMOUR to take the wind out of his sails. I just hope the voters see through it and realize there is no there there just RUMOURS.

BTW if Obama insured people with out a security clearance was looking at classified info should he not be charged for it?

There is a very good reason Obama never did a damn thing about the reported Russian hacking of the election when it came out months before the election. As he thought Hillary was going to win and he could not have an investigation looking into Russia if it was Hillary's team in the White House. TOO MANY LINKS to cover them all up.

Oh and anyone think Obama is not trying to destroy Trump ask yourself Why did he set up shop in his mansion, and not in his office that can not be used for Political inference, just miles from White House and why did Valerie Jarrett just move into his home with him the Michelle?

EXCLUSIVE: Barack Obama's close confidante Valerie Jarrett has moved into his new DC home, which is now the nerve center for their plan to mastermind the insurgency against President Trump

Obama's goal is to oust Trump from the presidency either by forcing his resignation or through his impeachment, a family friend tells DailyMail.com
Jarrett has moved into the 8,200-square-foot, $5.3-million Kaloroma mansion to work closely with the former president and Michelle Obama
Jarrett lived in the White House, dined with the Obamas, and helped shape his domestic and foreign policies
Obama cannot use his West End office, a post-presidency perk, for political purposes
'He's coming. And he's ready to roll.' former Attorney General Eric Holder said yesterday about the former president's reentry into the political scene.

I am sure this is just the tip of the meddling they have planned. They LOST, maybe they should, Move On?

Trump needs to restart the investigations into the Clinton foundation and Corruption within the Obama DOJ and FBI that would let her off after they proved a strong case. They testified she lied and then there is the fact Lynch met with Bill. Obama knew she was using an illegal server as he sent and receive emails with her and the Leaked Podesta emails proved they were talking about cleaning up POTUS emails before turning them over to State Department. Corruption went to top and What Obama is doing now there should be laws against. He has loyalists in the government that could destroy the US just to keep Obama happy. If Obama gave a damn about the US he would back off and let his successor do his job without interference.

Are they true, however? AFP notes that Trump made the accusation “without providing evidence,”

nope just another Trump unfounded accusation.. does the media read it's own reporting? or just what they want to about themselves?

The Guardian has learned that the FBI applied for a warrant from the foreign intelligence surveillance (Fisa) court over the summer in order to monitor four members of the Trump team suspected of irregular contacts with Russian officials. The Fisa court turned down the application asking FBI counter-intelligence investigators to narrow its focus. According to one report, the FBI was finally granted a warrant in October, but that has not been confirmed, and it is not clear whether any warrant led to a full investigation.

Heat Street reported at the time that the FBI did get the warrant. Just before the election, the White House went back to the FISA court with a warrant that didn’t specifically name Trump — and this time got the warrant.

Bear in mind that the FBI’s link to the FISA court would have been on counter-intelligence and not in criminal investigations. Criminal warrants go through normal courts, while FISA warrants deal with intelligence, espionage, and counter-terrorism that normally would not directly produce criminal prosecutions. NRO’s Andrew McCarthy wrote about this almost two months ago, and mentioned it on my show Thursday afternoon as well. McCarthy worries that the Obama administration abused the FISA system to jump-start a criminal probe where no probable cause existed for one.

Nope no evidence? I bet instead of sleeping last night, trump was up reading the truth...

I tweeted Trump this morning saying he can't allow Comey to do investigation into Wire tapping of the Trump Tower during election campaign, as he can not be trusted.

He laid out a strong case against Hillary that every lawyer on FOX says was winnable and he let her walk and it is questionable to whether he would do the same for Obama. especially if it was the FBI that filed to get wire tap warrant. Might turn out to be a CYA COVER UP by Comey

I also tweeted him that as long as Obama and Hillary are free his Admin. is not going to get anything done.

He needs to investigate the rumors of a shadow government, wire tapping, Clinton Foundation, and Hillary's email scandal. He needs to stop them before they destroy the US out of spite for the US voters wishes. The MSM has lost all credibility when it comes to Obama and Hillary's corruption and they are not going to stop reporting national security risking leaks until the two of them are TOTALLY out of the picture IE IN JAIL. This crap needs to stop and it needs to stop now.

Obama true legacy is going to be his corrupt attacks on his successor if the Liberals don't rewrite history as it happens.
