Regionalization of Argentina

Good posts Reggie. Welcome to our happy little group.  :D

FMD is not BSE. Comparing a disease that can be transmitted on your boots or truck tires to something like BSE, which is still being debated even to this day as to how it spreads, is like comparing apples and oranges.

Say Argentina IS partitioned......

What will happen to cattle ranchers in that country? Those on the right side of the line will be probably receiving double or more the amount for their cattle as the unlucky ones on the wrong side. Without any physical barriers, or oversight, what are the chances that cattle will not cross that imaginary line? ZERO.

This would not only affect cattle, but sheep and pigs as well. It's too scarey to even think about, but that's exactly what we need to do. We also need to let our governments know, on both sides of the border, what we think of this harebrained scheme. :!: :!: :!:

A recent poll by the Wall Street Journal and NBC found that 58 per cent of Americans think that globalisation has been bad for the US and that only 28 per cent believe that it has been good. Ten years ago the split was more even: 48 per cent thought that globalisation was good and 42 per cent that it was bad. The biggest surprise is that supporters of the two parties are no longer far apart on the question. Globalisation has been bad for the US according to 55 per cent of Republicans and 63 per cent of Democrats.
