Been tearing out and rebuilding corrals, the big lot we putting up rail road ties every 16 feet and a treated green post in-between, stapling up 5foot no-climb net wire then a pole at top and one in the middle instead of spikes using log bolts takes a ½ horse drill to screw them in.
Baring and digging the holes, no rocks just hard clay, been starting the hoe then add some water before baring. Was going to barrow an auger,,,,, but watched the guy try and use it on some clay it just got hot and smoked….

When we get to the pressure spots probably be just a 6 pole corral

for all that work and good posts, I'd be hanging guardrail 3 rails high, that is a lot of work to throw up some wire fence on. With guardrail your fence will be as good as your posts.
