Report: Cheney Warns of New Terrorist Attacks
Former Vice President Dick Cheney warned Tuesday that there is a "high probability" of a nuclear or biological terrorist attack in the coming years, according to a report published Wednesday on Politico.com.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney predicts a "high probability" of a nuclear or biological terrorist attack in the coming years and said the Obama administration is ill-equipped to prevent it.

In a candid interview published Wednesday on Politico.com, Cheney said he fears President Obama will put the county at risk

"When we get people who are more concerned about reading the rights to an Al Qaeda terrorist than they are with protecting the United States against people who are absolutely committed to do anything they can to kill Americans, then I worry," he told the Web site.

The outlook for terrorism couldn't be more grim to Cheney, Politico.com Editor-in-Chief John Harris described to FOX News on Wednesday.

Cheney -- who fervently supports the operations at Guantanamo Bay prison and the use of aggressive interrogation techniques -- told Politico that the detention center is "a necessary facility" running a "first class program."

Obama signed his first executive order on Jan. 22, ordering the prison in Guanatamo Bay prison be closed. The president has also strongly opposed the use of torture as an interrogation method -- a position that has garnered widespread support from Americans, according to a Gallup poll released Tuesday that showed 50 percent of Americans also disagree with Obama's order.

Problem with Cheney/Bush is that they didn't realize you can win a battle but lose the war-- and their methods of violating US law and International law to win the battle lost them the support of the population of the country and the world- which is needed to win the war.....

As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals.

Our founding fathers faced with perils that we can scarcely imagine, drafted a charter to assure the rule of law and the rights of man, a charter expanded by the blood of generations.

Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expedience's sake.

Well, Dick, see we're a powerful country and we can manage to both uphold human rights and protect our security.

You seem to think America is a puny little island surrounding by enemies, Dick, but I suppose after eight years of hiding in bunkers, Dick, surrounded by neo-cons and lurking in bushes to make sure your little frat-boy sock puppet towed the party line, I suppose that would make you a bit paranoid, Dick.

Try to stop being a dick, Dick!

How many times have we been attacked since September 11th? So i'd say the policys of the Bush adminastration musta worked! But President Obama and the pacifists like some of ya'll will make us all MUCH safer! Human rights are really important for human beings, but terrorists should be treated like a rabid coyote! When you cross the line between person and terrorist you should lose your rights! I think they treated some of those captured terrorists too good. I say fight fire with worse than fire and make the radicals realize terror is a choice that will end their life painfully!

Why would any terrorists waste time and $$$$ on our destruction when we've done such a spectacular job all by ourselves?

Tens of thousands.

It just hasn't happened on American soil.

You need to look up the case of the Uighers at Guantanamo.

Should they have been treated like rabid coyotes? Sounds like a good way to create more terrorists.

Accaully the usa has been attacked by untold numbers of terrorists...All of which fled to Iraq to plant bombs to kill American soliders....Unless you do not consider your men and women part of America....In a sad note ,the saddest part of it all are the innocent people dying in those market bombings....

I Do however agree with you on what to do if they are caught....I perfere the head on a stick and a parade through town.....

Obama and his men (and women) are treating terrorists like they have the same value on life that WE DO. We need to get on the same playing field and understand they will KILL THEMSELVES in order to kill us.

Actually you are laughing at a lot of folks. That is not even an original. A dude I work with name Evan coined it over a year ago and everyone I know calls her that.

OT your amigo senor "O" doesn't seem to pay much attention to the constitution either. Perhaps it never meant anything to him to begin with.
