Republican Hits Nerve In House Debate

Nancy shows the ass that nobody wants to see.

A heated debate late Friday over security at the southern U.S. border led to a rancorous confrontation on the House floor between House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Rep. Tom Marino, R-Pa.

The dustup began when Marino accused Democrats of neglecting the immigration issue when they controlled the White House and Congress in 2009 and 2010, when Pelosi was House speaker, saying that the party is now exploiting the issue for political gains.

“Under the leadership of the former speaker … when in 2009 and 2010, they had the House, the Senate and the White House, and they knew this problem existed,” Marino said. “They didn’t have the strength to go after it back then. But now are trying to make a political issue out of it now.”

Soon after he made the remarks, Pelosi, in full view of House cameras, walked across the chamber to the GOP side of the aisle -- a rarity in the House -- to challenge Marino.

It was not clear what Pelosi said, but Marino responded immediately.

"It's true, madam leader, I did the research on it," Marino said. "You might want to try it. You might want to try it, madam leader. Do the research on it. Do the research. I did it. That's one thing that you don't do."

Reps. Ted Poe, R-Texas, Joe Barton, R-Texas, and Kay Granger, R-Texas, seated behind Marino, looked stunned at Pelosi's actions. The presiding officer, Rep. Randy Hultgren, R-Ill., told Marino to direct his comments through the chair and not at a fellow member.

"Well, it works both ways," says Marino.

After things seemed to calm down, Marino said, "Apparently I hit the right nerve."

Pelosi then walked briskly across the chamber, making a beeline for Marino and shaking her finger at the congressman.

Rep. Nita Lowey, D-N.Y., could be heard saying off-camera, "what is she doing?"

After he was done speaking, Pelosi then pursued Marino through the chamber, and House chamber security was seen walking through the chamber.

The House then voted 223-189 in favor of a $694 million border supplemental bill.

Yeah, I recall the do-nothing White House, Senate, and Congress of 2009 and 2010. Back then it wasn't a big deal though.

Oldtimer there has been over 300 bills pass the Republican lead House and not one of them have been taken up for a vote by HARRY REID, so why are you trying to paint the problem to be one the House is causing. The House passed an immigration bill and where is Harry and the Senate. Oh and did you hear Obama saying even if the Senate was in town and passed the bill the House passed He would VETO the bill and threatened he was going to use his phone and pen to go around Congress yet again to do what ever the hell he wants. Which I'm sure most know is giving the illegals a free pass to stay in the US on the US Tax Payers expense. When Oldtimer is this scumbag in the Oval Office going to realize the US is broke due to his donor payback policies and they can't afford any more liberal bleeding heart programs?

BTW just a week ago all the Dems were spewing how the Border issue was a Humanitarian crisis so why are all those lying pieces of crap running home for summer holidays before dealing with the mess they caused with Obama's Open Border Policies to allow illegals to stay once they set foot on US Soil? And here is another question for you Oldtimer if Mexican and Canadian children are sent back to their home countries WITHOUT a hearing why are there Central American Children coming across the southern border not treated the same damn way? Why build state of the art buildings to house them and bus them around the country to other states when what is needed is a air plane to fly them back to their mommies and daddies that paid drug cartels to smuggled them to the US? Do you believe housing them is going to encourage those Central American Parents to stop risking their Children's lives by turning them over to people that are going to rape and sell those children in the sex trades when they get them to the US?
As long as those parents believe their children will be allowed to stay in the US with not consequences to them and at US TAX PAYERS expense you can bet they will keep risking those children's lives. You can bet the next liberal bleeding heart policy will be reuniting those children with their parents by bring the poor parents to live with them in the US as it will be inhuman not to allow those parents to care for their children ON US SOIL.

Obama said he was going to TRANSFORM the US and he is doing it by rewarding one illegal at a time. :x
