Congressional Republicans on Thursday escalated their criticism of the Justice Department for dismissing a controversial voter-intimidation case, demanding that civil charges against the New Black Panther Party be restored. They also renewed their request to interview career attorneys who disagreed with the administration's decision to dismiss the charges.

"Civil" charges?

Had this been a right-wing organization intimidating voters with the threat of violence, there would be "Criminal" charges pending also.

Another fine example of reverse discrimination........................

hey Ill stir the pot but this has been bothering me for quite awhile....why is this NOT a hate crime? They only went after whites....they use fear and threats.

I have seen the panthers in action up close and personal they are nothing more than THUGS.

I would never stand back and allow that to happen to anyone regardless of race, sex, or age....I will say I am gratiful to an old black woman for the warning and suggestion ......

As far as I am concerened they are a terrorist group and need to be delt with to the fullest extent of the law.
