KOLA- this one is especially for you--should make your day

The Change You Deserve!
Monday, May 12, 2008
Saddled with a very unpopular president, and losing elections even in heavily Republican districts, the Republicans are trying to grab a piece of the “change” mandate. So on Wednesday, Congressional Republicans will start rolling out their new policy agenda, complete with a new slogan (drum roll please…) “The Change You Deserve“.

Unfortunately, the Republicans seem to have plagiarized this slogan. “The Change You Deserve” is the registered advertising slogan for the popular drug Effexor XR, used for the treatment of depression, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, and panic disorder in adults. And it is a red pill with a large “W” on it! Even its side effects will sound familiar — nausea, apathy, constipation, fatigue, vertigo, sexual dysfunction, sweating, memory loss, and (are you ready for this?) “electric shock-like sensations also called ‘brain zaps’.”

Let’s just hope that this new slogan gives Republicans get the change they deserve.

If the Democrats had any candidates that were any better, then they might have something, but with Barry and Hill......? Puhleeeze.... that's like a one-legged man calling calling somebody "gimpy".

Reading the sewage 'Whiner either spews or cuts and pastes is enough to drive anybody to anti-depressants. I have never run across anybody as negative or as retarded as him.

Your crying just proved the authors point     :p

I'd have anxiety and depression too if I was a Repub

Over 12,000 posts and I'd wager fewer than 2% have anything positive to say whatsoever.

No crying here, I just fail to see how any one person could possibly be so bitter, negative, and twisted. You must be a real treat to live with.

If nothing else we should all be able to agree on the fact that the Republicans must have a pr person that doesn't research much before making a statement.

LMAO.

OT, There is a bright side. Republicans can easily afford a five year supply without a welfare health care plan.

Once you elect one of the communists, ya'll will get some long awaited relief yourself.

Out of everyone I have seen on the Internet, you seem to be about the most negative and most likely to be needing a little atidepressant.

Come on now. OT's posts give you guys something to debate and repute. If we were all from the same wavelength life would be pretty boring. Conservative or not that was somewhat humorous.

OT, ain't all bad. Other than being a Democrat, he's a pretty decent guy. It's just that he's got a lot of ammunition with the way W has screwed up everything he's touched and he's using it. You die-hard Republicans just have to put your tails to the wind and take it - you're the ones who put Jr. in the oval office.

I have to agree..... he has some pretty 'off the wall' ideas about things, but all in all I think he's ok. Not nearly so sensitive as some on here anyway.

I don't think he is about control. There are many whiners here on this forum that would like to simply run off anyone who is optimistic. We all know who they are.

I kind of enjoy all the crying and whining coming from some of the die hard Repubs now (especially folks like the cow candy door to door peddler, the Hopalong cowboy or whoever his id is today  - that can only call names and never put anything positive or negative up to debate)- and your moaning and groaning blaming all your problems on me invigorates me to find something else to make your day
I'm getting a ball- saying I TOLD YOU SO !!!!!!!!

If you remember- I am an Independent- and have never followed the cultist drumbeat of voting for anyone because they have an (R) or a (D) or any other cult sign by their name...I had my trepidations about GW back in 99- actually thinking GW was an idiot-- but was convinced by a mutual friend (Marc Racicot) of what a good President GW would be for the "whole" country- and how he would/could work bipartisanly to do so much for the country- and I voted for the idiot.... I still haven't had a chance to get even with Marc for misleading me totally on that

And if you looked back at the archives of the early years of GW- I supported most of what he was doing- until it just became too evident that he was being deceptive, overly arrogant in the position-and his refusal to obey/enforce legally passed laws was not only eroding any bipartisanship- and throwing states rights out the door-- but was eroding the Constitutional powers of the power of the Division of Powers which is so important to keep us from being a one man/one group controlled country....

And I began about 4 years ago on here-especially when the Republican Congress was giving him total power and doing no oversight- raising my questions- and voicing my doubts and worries--and was called every name in the book...And when I predicted the backlash that would come about in the 06 election (on here and Agriville) because of his actions many scoffed and called me a Bush Basher, Liberal, Whiner and Whatever to support their cultist leader...

But as time marches on- I get to more and more- day after day- say I TOLD YOU SO!! :D  :p :p :p

I'd be loving it :D If our village idiot wasn't creating such long term harm to the country :(

If you have such bad judgement and can be misled so easily why should we ever respect or trust what you say on here?

Maybe the same thing is happening now with your support of Obama, I hope the rest of us don't have to endure him until you admit you were wrong again in 4 years.

Ah but Sandhusker doesn't understand the real issues for all. Maybe Bill and his demoes didn't bankrupt companies that he had vested pensions in. Stone and Webster Engineering was a very old company that went under. Pacific United Constructors was another on the opposite coast.

Now the Dems are cursing Exxon and likely there are a lot of Blue Collar (and White collar) workers who have vested pensions in those companies.

Many were bled to death under the Dems in previous times. The baby boomers are now looking for those pensions.

There are many other issues.

Many of us are on the other end of it now and laughing it up.

You folks be careful what you ask for. Communistic health care doesn't appear all that good. From what I hear they do your dental work with no pain medicines.

You are constantly being the one with doom and gloom these days.....and you sound like you've had a few procedures w/o benefit of pain killers yourself.
