Repubs Throwing in the Towel on McCain?

Writing in the Washington Post over the weekend, the conservative columnist and former George W. Bush speechwriter David Frum (pictured) started revising his resume with a loud shot across the deck of the McCain campaign:

I could pile up the poll numbers here, but frankly . . . it’s too depressing. You have to go back to the Watergate era to see numbers quite so horrible for the GOP.

McCain’s awful campaign is having awful consequences down the ballot. I spoke a little while ago to a senior Republican House member. “There is not a safe Republican seat in the country,” he warned. “I don’t mean that we’re going to lose all of them. But we could lose any of them.”

In the Senate, things look, if possible, even worse….

In these last days before the vote, Republicans need to face some strategic realities. Our resources are limited, and our message is failing. We cannot fight on all fronts. We are cannibalizing races that we must win and probably can win in order to help a national campaign that is almost certainly lost. In these final 10 days, our goal should be: senators first

I think I am going to blame the minority in Congress, you know like a lot have done here on Ranchers net. You remember how the Dem.'s blocked everything the Republicans tried to get done while they were the minority and the Rep.'s were the majority.   Seriously for ever who wins- what a mess things are in, they better have an outstanding cabinet/advisors.

Blame Joe...he asked an honest question of a crook and known liar. He should have known they would come down on him.

No hurley- pretty soon they wil have the excuse back to being George Washingtons- because he leaned Democrat one day

12 out of 14 years of Republican rule of Congress- and 8 years of Bush regime in Congress- and we have what we have now..... :( :(

I don't see how you can't but put the major part of the blame right where it lies
I don't want 4 more years of George W. Bush (which McCain backslapped and voted with 90% of the time)... :( :(
