Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele said Friday that President Obama has not been vetted thanks to a complicit media that wanted to see a black man become president.

Serving as a guest host for conservative radio personality Bill Bennett, Steele, who is also African-American, said Obama's political philosophy and principles remain largely unknown.

"He was not vetted, folks," Steele said. "He was not vetted because the press fell in love with the black man running for the office.

And poor old Steele can't even get the Repubs to love him

Republicans don't need it to look like a lovefest to respect a guy....

over the last few decades, many conservatives couldn't even name a republican chairperson, let alone state if they loved him or despised him,...

with Steele, he is visible and a voice... and with some fine tuning, I think he will get on message so the "independents and moderate conservatives" can see the difference between Obama's fancy speeches and Obama's disastrous policies..

I doubt Steele will be around in 2010- for sure not still in 2012....The radical right core of the south is already breaking away toward a 3rd party type movement... The "Bubba's" are not accepting a black man in any position of leadership....

With due respect to Steele as a person, because I think he's a good man, he's a lightweight, especially compared to Obama.

   The man gets elected on his race and a buzzword and he's a heavyweight?

The only reason Steele is where he is , is because he's black also.

The Rep's needed a ' token' and he's theirs.

Steele may be a fine man but he's being played for a 'patsy' on this deal.

He's weak...too many verbal mistakes and when he bowed down to Rush....he's was O-V-E-R!!!

I'm not going to brag Steele up, but, without even looking, I'll bet he has a more complete track record than Obama. I'll bet Steele has written more pieces of legislation than autobiographies. I'll also double down that Steele doesn't have half the number of documented lies that Obama has. I'll bet he can speak without a telepromptor and 15 ummms, ahhhhs, and errrrs, a minute.

You've proven your point Reader, Obama is the best President ever.

Wikipedia says it is so. Obviously Steele is incorrect, the media did properly vet Obama.

Heck, Zer0's biography alone is enough to scare the wits out of a reasonably intelligent person.......................

I discount articles and books both. I'm more interested in leadership experience, elected leadership, length of involvement in politics, and legislative experience at the state and national level.

Of course you do. You've discounted everything and anything negative you've read or seen about your "Hero"

Anything negative or derogatory is a conspiracy against "the One", anything positive is the truth.

And you are too emotionally involved to see it any other way, or admit your mistake. Don't worry, you may eventually see the truth, before you start to live it.

Changing your emotional convictions will take time.

It's embarrassing to watch. No backbone. Nice guy. Great success story. Not a strategist and not a leader.

you could easily say the same for Obama..

"We can no longer accept a process that doles out earmarks based on a member of Congress' seniority, rather than the merit of the project," Obama's statement said.

March 11, 2009
Obama Defends Earmarks, But Calls For Reforms

President Obama today actually defended the right of members of Congress to insert earmarks into legislation, but announced some reforms he'd like to see to avoid further waste, fraud and abuse with the process.

Obama called the omnibus bill "imperfect," and suggested he would not veto it because Congress should not be "bogged down" when it has more urgent priorities. But he said earmarks account for only 1 percent of the total bill, and criticized those who "railed most loudly" against it

yep,,.. it's embarrassing to see a token black with no backbone.. and now that he has bowed down to pilosi/read Obama is O-V-E-R!!!

Reader, "I discount articles and books both. I'm more interested in leadership experience, elected leadership, length of involvement in politics, and legislative experience at the state and national level."

So that's why you voted for a freshman senator who was just a few years out of community organizing?
