Unfortunately I also have too many friends to visit with

Austin, SLC, Seattle, San Antonio, Sacramento, Newport Beach, Santa Cruz, Salinas, Boulder, San Jose, Sonoma County, East Bay, Marin County, San Francisco, Louisville ...

Wasn't there a song like this?

"I've been to
Austin, SLC, Seattle, San Antonio, Sacramento, Newport Beach, Santa Cruz, Salinas, Boulder, San Jose, Sonoma County, East Bay, Marin County, San Francisco, Louisville ..."

R2---with many schools back in session, you should be able to find travel alot cheaper than, say, you would have in july!! I like OT's suggestion about the train!! you sit back, relax, enjoy some fine dining while taking in the scenery and let the conductor do the driving!!! Yep...sounds danged good!! If you should find yourself in this neck of the woods (although the Amtrak follows the hi-line of northern montana) give me a jingle!!!! :D

R2:

On this " liberal reformation" that JB is touting.....I'm beginning to believe, from first hand experience mind you, that instead of ' us' being closet conservatives.....I'm starting to think he just might me a" closet liberal"!!!

Not 100% sure of this discovery.....I might need to investigate more at a later date....but I do see some lilberal tendancies lurking there in the wide open spaces of Indian Creek!!!!

If you go be aware of his guard dog....Spike!!! He's a real mauler and will keep your attention!!!

You should have stopped by. We could have traded some iced tea for some "left of center" wisdom. The only old fossils around here are me. :)

By the way R2, if you get to these parts in the end of September, we have a pretty good poetry show in Hot springs and there is a dang good one in Valentine, NB the next weekend. You'd get to meet Saddle Tramp and quite a few of the others who post on here, who live in or close to Nebraska. :)
