The boys had a good weekend-'Little D' our rookie bullrider cobered the bounty bull at Biggar on Sunday and won himself a $200 bonus plus close to $300 in the round. First long green for Dusty he's going to be a good one-great kid with the right attitude. Ty won the Saddle Bronc and Bareback in Biggar and the Novice and the Jackpot in Meadow Lake-he's a bit of a hurting unit this A'M he rode nine head this weekend-sounds like he was in a pretty good scrap according to his buddies too-darn kid is just like his Mom. He was breaking up a fight and got sucker punched-I don't think the other guy will be trying that again soon.

I think he's up in Ponoka on the 30th-I didn't do callbacks but they should post the deraw on the pro website soon. Hope he gets some money gathered up to get to Farmington.

I guess Ty is up in the slack on the morning of the 4th in saddle bronc and will be in the main perf in bareback on the 6th. He's up in Benalto on the 5th. I think the whole crew might head out to Ponoka and airdrie.

Ty had quite an adventure last night-he wrote a final exam then Shauna took him and they boys about 4 hours west to get the van-finally fixed from the gas tank wreck. They were tight for time and blew a tire on the way to the rodeo. The next call I get is he is leading the rodeo but he messed his wrist up bad-instead of going to the hospital he got the number of a tire shop and went and got new tires put on in the middle of the night and drove home. the tire guy charged him $200 to come out after hours. There's played out cowboys draped over all my furniture right now-I guess I'll leave him sleep a bit then check his wrist.

He had to go back east to get his tire fixed-then they couldn't find a Dr. around the hospital so they headed on home they got in around 5'ish I'm guessing-he should of won some money that's a pretty salty pen of horses and he's the only kid rode the first day. After this weekend he isn't up anywhere till the 29th so hopefully this wrist isn't mashed to bad.

They aren't sure if it's broke yet-they have to rexray it in a couple days-he's lucky he can ride either hand in both bares and broncs not sure we can find a left hand rigging so he just might ride broncs for a bit.

I think he was second in the second round on this bull-he gets to go to Canadian Finals in three events because of this ride so he was pretty happy to get him covered.

The writing was on the wall when he was just a little guy-he loves mashed potatoes and he'd just filled his plate for the second time . I said "Boy you like potatoes you must be an Irishman". Ty put down his fork and gave me the dirtiest look a four year old can and said "I'm not an Irishman-I'm a cowboy." Thank you for the compliment Soapweed it would be nice for our boys to meet up someday Im thinking.

As happy as I am for Ty, I can plainly see, and I'm sad to say, he's gonna be far too famous to grace our chutes with his shadow pretty soon.      It's gonna be great to see him rise to the top Cory. Glad he and you are doing well.
