Ron Paul: $1 Trillion In Cuts Proposal

Help Support Ranchers.net:

Apparently not mucy interest in avoiding bankruptcy and collapse.

Let's just stay in denial, folks.

A large part of his cuts include cuts in foreign aid....

And he said in the debate the other night ,and whole heartily defended it, that he'd cut ALL AID TO ISRAEL!!!

I often disagree with Ron Paul,.. but foreign aid has not done alot of good.

For the first hundred years of the United States' existence as a country, government aid was practically nonexistent.[citation needed] It was generally considered that the Constitution did not authorize the government to take the people's money for foreign charity

I think the question now is why are we giving these countries aid?

why is Kenya getting an additional 26.3 million this year? wasn't 687.7 million given last year enough?

and then we have Ethiopia, South Africa, Nigeria, together with Kenya, these four countries received over 2.5 billion in aid?

then we have Pakistan, at 3.0536 billion, Egypt at 1.557 billion,West Bank/Gaza 917 million, Lebanon countries who have 80% of their population claiming the hate US...
Algeria has received $60 million and votes with the U.S. just 16% of the time. Oman $74 million, 18% voting coincidence. Whereas the Palestinian Territories received $3 billion dollars yet just 18% have a favorable view of the U.S.

and to top it off we gave Russia $396 million..

maybe if we weren't giving money to Israel's enemies we could even save the 3 billion we give them..

when you add it all up it is well over a Trillion dollars a year.. why are we borrowing money to give it away? to countries who really don't like US..

What is it we have, a 20 trillion dollar deficet? And Congress
can't figure out how to cut $1 trillion? Boy, these folks need help.
A third grader should be able to figure this out. And yeah, why
are we aiding countries who hate us? This is atrocious!

AMEN jingo-- if you are going to cut off foreign aid-- it should be to some of the countries we send the most to for local/domestic political reasons..Especially Israel-- and all these countries we a pay to be out "socalled- sometimes- when they want to" friends...

I don't agree with leaving Israel out to dry-- but they have to start picking up more of the stick-- along with the countries in Europe and the UK that created them (thru years of war and disruption of the mideast) in the first place....

maybe our rational for "paying" Israel isn't for them to defend themselves, but to keep them from annihilating all their crappy neighbors.. :?

it is hidden in so many different budgets it would take an accountant awhile just to add them up, but in the end it could clear up our budget deficit..

I have decided that until the primaries are over, I will put Ron Paul in as my choice.. even if he can get the others to listen and cut off this aid it will be worth it to have him as President.

Paul would cut funding from nearly every government agency, while eliminating several Cabinet agencies in their entirety. On the revenue side, Paul would lower the corporate tax rate and eliminate the capital gains and estate taxes.

Here are some of the cuts, and how much they would save in FY 2013 compared to the Congressional Budget Office baseline:

Cut over $600 billion from mandatory spending programs including cuts to unemployment insurance
Department of Defense: End the wars, freeze other spending. $196,695,000,000
Department of Transportation: Privatize the FAA, $39,936,000,000
Department of Health and Human Services: Cut funding for FDA and CDC, eliminateLow Income Home Energy Assistance Program. $16,972,000,000
Department of Homeland Security: Privatize the TSA. $13,788,000,000
Department of State: Eliminate foreign aid and dues for international organizations. $19,412,000,000
Environmental Protection Agency: 30 percent cut from 2006 levels. $4,281,000,000
Eliminate the Departments of Energy, Housing and Urban Development, Commerce, Interior and Education. $173,677,000,000
Cut Medicaid spending by $95,000,000,000 (34% cut)
Cut Food Stamps program by $50,000,000,000 (62% cut)
Cut Child Nutrition programs by $7,000,000,000 (33% cut)
The plan does not reduce Social Security, Medicare, or retirement program spending

Notably the plan does not include an analysis of the economic effects of Paul's proposed budget though cutting $1 trillion from the federal budget would be an instantaneous 7 percent cut to GDP, nearly equivalent to the slowdown seen during the 'Great Recession.

at least Paul is looking at "real" cuts.. not cuts in future spending increases.

Maybe we should get out of all these agreements/treaties/conventions/world courts/etc. (like the Geneva convention that most opposition countries we've fought for 70 years don't abide by anyway- which Bush violated and made the country into hypocrits- and got him and Cheney now indicted in most the world and on both the Red Cross's and Amenity Internationals most wanted list)---------

And turn Israel loose... But before hand- tell them their rear is in their own hands.....Work it out- or have at it...
