Ron Paul All For Secession - OT's Hero?

At a Libertarian Conference, no less. Wonder if Fatman would call HIM an anarchist now? Wonder if there'll be "Packets" sent out on the Congressman?

Former Republican presidential candidate and congressman Ron Paul says secession is happening and it’s “good news.” Paul later predicted the states would stop listening to federal laws.

“I would like to start off by talking about the subject and the subject is secession and, uh, nullification, the breaking up of government, and the good news is it’s gonna happen. It’s happening,” Paul, the father of potential Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul, told a gathering at the libertarian Mises Institute in late January. The event Paul was speaking at was titled “Breaking Away: The Case for Secession.”

Paul said secession would not be legislated by Congress, but would be defacto, predicting “when conditions breakdown…there’s gonna be an alternative.”

“And it’s not gonna be because there will be enough people in the U.S. Congress to legislate it. It won’t happen. It will be defacto. Ya know, you’ll have a gold standard when the paper standard fails and we’re getting awfully close to that. And people will have to resort to taking care of themselves. So when conditions breakdown, ya know, there’s gonna be an alternative. And I think that’s what we’re witnessing.”

Later, Paul said the Federal Reserve would end, and the states would stop listening to federal laws they didn’t agree with.

The 10th amendment is dead.
Due to heavy population concentrations in a few places, the unconstitutional concentration of power in DC, the protection for individual liberty is a distant memory.

Where I'd disagree with Ron Paul: the dissolution of the country began when the government ignored the constitution. There, me and Ron Paul are crazy whatevers because we think when a contract is dissolved, it is....dissolved.
Where the hell is there provisions in the constitution for the tyranny called social security? Wilson and FDR started the revolution. It's long past time to recognize reality. The US constitution is such joke bait we have a president making congress usurping recess appointments when congress is in session. From what nonexistent body does Paul suggest secession? It's not the USA, it's some illegal central tyrant in Washington DC. As for any resemblance OT may have with Dr Paul, it's accidental. OT is part of the lemming class that would crucify Hamilton Jefferson and Madison.
