So the Harpers are invited, but not the Obamas

BAR BAR 2 said:Pardon me for not understanding this, but what is the big deal? Everyone seems to be giddy over the upcoming nuptuals of a prince in what was once the ruling family of England. Were the Colonies and later the United States not founded to escape a monarchy? Why now is the US so goofy over this wedding? That would be like blacks celebrating James Earl Ray Day, or me celebrating my exwifes birthday. As far as the Obamas not being invited, I don't blame them. I wouldn't want them at my event either. Please explain why I should care that someone I don't like to begin with isn't invited to an event that I couldn't possibly care less about.

People get so caught up in the lives of celebrities, but then want them to shut up on issues they differ on. If you don't want to listen to them, then quit feeding their ego. The Obama's not being on the list tends to make me think that the royal family isn't too concerned with feeding the first family's ego.
