Senate Democrats won't pass exempting the military from a gov't shutdown.

If so, this will be the nail in the coffin for Democrats................

A House-passed bill to ensure the military gets paid under any government shutdown was approved without dissent in the Senate on Monday — a rare bipartisan agreement

The reps need to go through each expenditure and exempt them from shutdown. Social Security and so forth.
Do it till they get the pork out or the only thing left not funded is obamacare

Actually IMO, the best thing right now is to let obamacare be funded. It will kill the Dem party, once people "see what's in it".

Cruz has made his point...the Dems. own obamacare. When the Repubs take over the senate, they can then repeal it.

Unless there is a Repub Pres., they must have a veto proof Congress to repeal. Repeal is going to be a hard road with all the freeloaders on the bandwagon.

I'm confident that once everybody sees what's in it, even the freeloaders are going to be disgusted.

Just look at how the stocks of the large insurance companies are doing.

Higher deductible on less service and a wait time to boot. Gee, who could have seen this coming?

I dont think it will get repealed. Conservative think that once people see it they wont want it anymore.
Conservatives thought that about if obama got elected...he got re elected
Conservatives thought that about Clinton...he got reelected
most leftwing agenda we thought that.....then we moved further left.
The leftwing and their media allys always convince the sheeple that they didnt go far enough left

most uninformed voters still think it is free healthcare.. so they will be in for a shock..

as for the subsidies.. the gov doesn't know how to figure them yet so everyone will more or less be quoted full price at the exchanges.. that is if they get a quote at all..

due to the economy being bad, my son is working as a independent contractor.. with NO benefits,.. his cost would be about 35% of his monthly pay..

His girlfriends teaches at a community college with NO benefits.. just a 1099,.. her cost will be about 55% of her monthly pay..

like most of Americas youth, neither can afford to move out.. so they both essentially live rent free.. otherwise they would end up being homeless.. with obamacare it would ruin their meager finances..

hopefully this will be a wake-up for America's youth.. but I doubt it..

I would agree ,. once it is in,.. we will be stuck with it..

if anything the Conservatives should get rid of the mandate..
and force congress, senate , white-house and all government employees to go into the exchanges..

and force the president to stop issuing waivers to any group he wants to get a favor from...

at least then they can see the full effect of their work..

Delay the individual mandate, and the whole thing could fall apart, according to Linda Blumberg of the Urban Institute.

It would be embarrassing for them to climb down now, but Democrats may be worse off if they "win."
"If (Republicans) manage to extract a concession from Senate Democrats in exchange for voting to approve a continuing resolution to fund the government's operations, then they've won," wrote Ira Stoll in the New York Sun.

If Republicans fold, they also win, because then "Americans will actually get a chance to see for themselves what a train wreck Obamacare is," Mr. Stoll argued.

Republicans may not give in -- at least for a while -- even though what Marxists call the "correlation of forces" is heavily against them. Democrats have the White House, the Senate and much of the news media spinning madly on their behalf.
