got my run away rye crop combined yesterday, after getting grazed to the dirt the last week of may and the first week in june, then getting hailed pretty good on the 14th of aug. it still went 56 bu. to the acre. lots of seed on top of the ground from the hail so am going to crazy harrow it and hope for some moisture. might not have to seed next year

A "GOOD" farmer would have made a couple trips over with the sprayer already trying to kill it out and plant some sort of hybrid canola.

Glad you got your crop combined! I've been thinking I have started going organic more and more in areas here, but really I've just been going "cheap"....I think cheap sums it up better here than organic! ....certified cheap ranch :D
